Hi Guys i wonder if anyone has any real world experience with DTM power. They have 3 engine packages.. for the 355 1)405hp flywheel (head flow only) 2)430hp fly (head and 3.7 litre stroke) 16,000 pounds 3)500hp (head and stroke and cams) 17,000 pounds. I am seriously contemplating the mod.. Any comments advice would be greatly appreciated.. cheers heres the link http://www.dtmpower.com/
Im sorry I cant offer any advice towards this purchase. I just wanted to say 17,000 pounds is A LOT of money to get an extra 120HP from your 355. Have you thought about getting a twin turbo setup?? It can be done for half that quote you have and would make A LOT more HP if you wanted. But if you keep moderate boost, you would get 500HP no worries and it wont harm your engine. But, I would rather add a 308 to the stable for that money. Just my opinion of course. Wish you all the best with it if you decide to go for it.
Hi PAP348.. Yeah ive already looked into the nizmo package.. Thing is it kills the f1 sound and makes it sound more like a sports bike.. Anyway FYI the 355 only makes 320 at the fly! not 380! Even simon at nizpro has dynoed 2 cars and they all show the same.. SO youre getting 180hp not 120hp extra with the dtm power package.. I prefer the NA sound and also you can get insured!!! As for the money screw it better than spending it on *****es..lol
Ah, I get ya mate!! The F1 sound is what you want!! They both must have been ****ed engines then! Or Simon's dyno is ****ed? Or Simon doesnt know how to dyno cars properly?? My 348 now makes 318HP at the engine with the new XOST exhaust I fitted. If the 355 has only 320HP at the engine, then I will shave my dogs ass and make her walk backwards. Lol, I see. Totally understand! Id rather the hookers!
Heres the dyno sheet from the 405hp package.. Anyone got a 355 standard dyno sheet for comparison? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Then I must have the worlds most efficient transmission and driveline. My F355 dynoes at 303 HP at the rear wheels.
Ahem.. well what does one believe... I found a post by Andi 355 discussing schumachers 355.. And i quote the following..... I saw several 355 here in Germany on dyno's: Here is the result: 355 2.7 cars, no modification : 345 - 360 HP at the engine. 355 5.2 cars, no mods : 325 - 345 HP at the engine. 355 challenge cars: 360 - 380 HP That's fact. Andi So it could be that the 5.2 cars are making 320 at the motor! This confirms some dyno readings by the people at dtm that are making 500hp engines!! Thats what simon at nizpro found when he dynoed both of the twin turbocars prior to putting the turbos on them 320hp fly!! Any comments anyone...
You are wrong, the 355 makes about 300-310 to the rear wheels on most brands of dyno, that is more than 320hp to the flywheel. I have dyno'd many 355's
