    Got to tell you this........

First run with the car 1st of May.

Drove to the petrol station to fill her up.

Indicator left....and clutch down.......and I mean down....all the way to the tarmac almost.

    No clutch.....no resistance....nothing.....

Still indicator showing left turn and I ended up with gear in neutral on the right side close to the sidewalk.

Now, any ordinary taxpayer wonders wtf is this???????

And I queued (how do you spell that one?) up to find out......

The answer is as simple as it could be and just so embarrassing you can not believe it.

The clutch oil was dripping from the bleeding nut.........

I forgot to tighten the bloody thing when I was bleeding the clutch !!!!!!

Lucky it was not the brakes !!!!!!

Tightened the nut with a spanner......went home and bleeded the clutch once more and then back to the gas station.

Do I feel ashamed and embarrassed?????? Guess!!!!!

Anyway tomorrow I will go to someone dealing with alarms and get a new one since I never figured out how to get rid of the immobilizer that does not work.

The alarm is from -95 so maybe it is time anyway.

    All the best,

Don't be ashamed. I know of dealerships doing similar and worse. At least you caught it.

    Bengt,

My first impression was that you got into an accident! You didn't. Both you and the car are fine. Don't be ashamed. Count your blessings!

    Cheers!

I got my Kawasaki bike back from the local dealer after some brake work, with NO BRAKE FLUID, in the front master cylinder! I slide to a stop with only the rear brake working...almost into a major arterial leaving the parking lot.

I agree. Could have been a lot worse, and I will take embarassment over a blown clutch any day of the week ;)

Apart from the clutch everything is working ok........taking in consideration I pulled the engine for the first time this winter.

    5 months spirited driving ahead......hopefully.....

    See you out there........

I once boosted my car and drove to the petrocan on the hwy 5 min away shut it down to fuel not leaving enough time to charge the cars battery and when I went to start it... you guessed it, DEAD. Those gas jockeys still talk about the time the had to push start my Ferrari every time I gas up there...

Man I wish they would get other jobs.

Don't be ashamed, had my TR serviced, it had knock ons, showing off, floored accelerator hit a rut and the wheel loosened and I ground to a halt luckily it did not come off completely so there was no damage. I had to Jack it up and knock back on.
