Screw the market. I bought the car to drive because everyone told me it would scare me to death compared to the older stuff I have and I don't care for paddle shift cars; I just like to shift.

By the way it delivers tomorrow after being serviced at FOA. Yippee.

Hey Joe, what did the factory consider the two different ones?

Was it Euro and USA spec, or was it ROW and USA spec?

Ryan, you're making my head hurt.

I think it was simply a matter of the type USA version considered as the limited production F40 for America, versus the ROW cars. The USA cars were distinctly different in specification as much as to constitute a completely different variant. Seats, dash, bodywork, mechanical spec, electrics, fuel system/aluminum gas tanks etc etc it was all different. However, as we know, there were evolutions of the ROW car from the original cat-less versions with sliding windows on to the more civilized versions with roll-up windows & cars, but essentially these were slight variations of the same thing (although I can think of one person who would argue about that).

    Joe,

It appears that the opportunity for me to buy quality, US spec F40s at $180/pc is starting to diminish...

Yeah, I know there are ALOT of little changes, but technically there were two "different" versions. I just noticed how you seem to refer to them as USA and ROW, while most others seem to say USA and Euro. Thanks.

Really? The seller kissed this one Good Bye for $260K USD and
it was a perfectively good F 40. In a few years it will be fully US
    Legal.

Won't be Long. Cally said he was going to buy all of them
that dropped to 200K euro. The seller got less than that
    for this one.

    LOL? Not...

Interesting times. You can buy New Unsold Ferrari's
in the US for tens of thousands of dollars under msrp.

Haven't seen that for a while.

This car is not listed on the main sale page. Why? Maybe it has been sold and the page has not been updated!

A "good deal" just because the price is lower than usual? Think about that.

I have no idea about current market prices but I think if its the car you want and the price is comfortable for you then for the most part whether someone else paid more or less is irrelevant

I think these mods would make this a better car for a driver/racer like you and the company that did them has a very good reputation.

The asking price is a fair starting point and these days they may even take a bit less.

    Definitely worth checking out.

Yes but various people have days there. I think that weekend in Brian's Targa 66. Several friends are attending that and there are always cool cars running in that event.

One of my friends is going to run his Turbo Evo Monster Time Attack Car and I want to watch him go for the lap record.

    Best
