According to this seller, "real" ferrari engines are only good for 12,000 miles. Does this mean my 25,000 mile engine is running on borrowed time? DO I need to send my engine to EngineFixer tomorrow?!?!?!?

"Parts are readily available and it gets 26 miles per gallon instead of about 9 like most supercars! Another great thing about this beautiful reproduction is that your engine should be good for over 120,000 miles instead of about 12,000 like most exotic cars."

Owning a fake Ferrari is like sticking a sock down your pants.

From a distance, they look pretty good. But when it comes time to deliver, both will greatly disappoint.

Oh yeah, about the car...those things were built on a Pontiac Fiero. Now THAT was a nice running car.(insert mental picture of me rolling on the floor laughing) He came up with the 120,000 mile number because they have never had a Fiero go that far. Not only did they quit making the Fiero they quit making Pontiacs. Not really a good selling point.
Just so I understand.....no sock in the pants? Really? Really? But it gets all the girls attention. I can't count the times girls were all pointing at me and start whispering to each other. They all want me, well , they want to see me in December or January, cuz when I ask them out they all say something about "cold day", so I figure their just busy working in the summer.

The Fiero.....my dad owned a GM dealership when they were first coming out. They had me really excited when they were on the drawing board, they called it a mid engined 2 seat sports car.
Then when we finally had one delivered and saw it was just a front wheel drive car with the body on backwards it was a big let down. Well.....not really THAT big, I figured GM would come up with a good idea and make it a cheap P.O.S., just like they did.

When the front suspension is sourced from that performance icon, the Chevrolet Chevette, you know it's going to be a great sports car. Certainly don't forget the oil leaks and fires too.

I looked at the ad and I threw up in my mouth a little...omfg.

I saw a Toyota MR2 on the freeway last week with plates that read "ECON 348". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Does that mean the car steers with its rear wheels?

Someone in the US who used to work for my dad had a car that steered with the rear wheels, but I can't remember what it was... the only thing I do recall was that he crashed it, bought another one, crashed that too, bought a third one, crashed it and finally got wise enough not to buy a fourth. I wish I could remember what sort of car that was. Anyone have any ideas?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Steers with only the rear wheels or with all four? There have been a couple recently that had four wheel steering. Some Honda Preludes had it I believe and then some Chevrolet Suburbans and Silverados I think come to mind.

It steered with only the rear wheels and it was a sports car. I just can't remember what the heck it was. I'll ask my dad next time I talk to him and see if he can remember... hopefully the chosen car is pretty memorable when your friend totals 3 of them.

I did see his third one, but I was only about 7 or 8 years old at the time and wasn't really a petrolhead at that point.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The RX7 GLS had 4 wheel steering too....I was shocked how weird it felt when I first drove one. Kind of a neat car when they were new. My sister had one, it was sort of a limited edition as I recall.
