    hey fellows...my name is brett,,,im new to this community....just signed up today,,,im the proud owner of a 1989 328 GTS ..white on tan,,,,ive had the car for almost 11 years,,,and ive logged 66k miles out here in california,,i bought the car with 20k..put most of the miles on in the first 5 years,,i found you guys while trying to google,,"what ferrari has the most miles driven,,"...i just did a major service on the car along with a handfull of other fixes,,,the car has run and continues to run good,,,i wanted to make an educated guess or determination of the expected life of a 328 motor,,..in miles driven,,,i found one guy in AZ with a 308 with 153k miles....that made me very excited and so i wanted to get some more mileage figures,,and ended up finding some info here on your site,,,i then changed my mind about selling now,,,when i could get the most for it with the new service,,,,,it will take many years for me to get 153k miles,,,which im now confident i could drive ,,because i maintain the car very well...and i dont really race it up to the redline much,,,usually no more than 6000 rpms,,by that time ill be able to afford another sports car (355 / 911 turbo/M3),,,and or have the money to do whatever engine rebuilding that might be necessary..the last 4 years i have averaged 2500 miles per year on the car...i use it more a less as a mood stabalizer...lol...im looking foward to hearing from and talking with you guys on here in the future,,,thx brett

    Welcome, Brett. It's amazing that you've owned a Ferrari for 11 years and didn't know about F-chat until now. I've been on the site for over 3 years (I stop to sleep every now and then), but this post is the first time I get to welcome a new member and remind him to fill out his profile. (Standard advice to a new member.) I think I just crossed a threshold of some sort.

    What a great first post and welcome. I'm sure you'll have much to add for some of us newer guys, I've been around about 8 months. Great story on your car. At the rate you drive it and the quality of the engines you should be able to keep your car until you get tired of it which will hopefully be never. Look around, you have a wonderful car, many feel one of the best to enjoy on a regular basis. Glad to have you with us.

    welcome aboard Bret :) How's about posting a pic of your white 328 for all of us here to enjoy
    btw, I wouldn't worry about mileage on the 328 too much...just drive and enjoy her !... you seem to keep up with maintenance which is the most important factor for a happy 328 (or any F car for that matter). I've owned my 87 GTS a year and a half now and can honestly say that the more I drive her the better we both feel LOL

    Sold the 348. It's a two part plan for the newer car.

    Welcome, Brett! I just met a guy last week at a gas station while filling up his '86 328. There were somewhere around 120k miles on the car, and it looked and sounded great. You've got many happy years ahead!

    When you reply to the thread, scroll down the page where it says Manage Attachments, click on that and it will bring up another page. click on the browse button find your pic hit upload and wait for the pic to become attached. Preview your post and hit the submit button. Don't forget to check you spelling.
