It's not a everyday thing, but it does happen. It's happened using youtube and a app called LiveBible. BTW, I did just d/l the new NFL Mobile app.
Apps update...things I like: Zillow app (real estate prices) Cherry rPlayer (Shoutcast, ICEcast and radio stations from all over the globe) Policestream (police scanner app) Ultimate Stopwatch (great when grilling!) Not Call Log (takes you to the dialpad after a phone call instead of the call log) Call Filter (sends private # to VM or just picks up/hangs up on them altogether) RMX
Rock on brothers! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIl1k7wX7Fk 2.2 will be FAST with native tethering, and have FLASH.
Any word on when 2.2 will be heading to the Moto Droid? Also, If you want to be lame, like me, and want Android stickers or vinyl covers, I HIGHLY recommend inkedcity.bigcartel.com for stickers, and http://www.grafixpressions.com/android.shtml . No association to either seller, just a happy customer.
I hope it will be. 2.1 seems to have slowed things down on my phone. Not as fluid as it use to be. This is probably still months away.
that's odd... i have noticed no difference with 2.1, with the sole exception of 'unlocking' the phone. The slide seems to hang for a microsecond before it swipes to unlock.
The unlock thing you mentioned is one. But it happens mostly when opening text messages. it'll say 'messages' at the top like usual, but the screen is black and takes b/w 5-10 seconds for my messages to pop up.
Strange. I haven't experienced anything like that with my phone. Hopefully a new update will solve your problems.
It's not the be all end all, but it would be nice to run a little smoother. As long as the phone works and functions I'll take these issues. I've been using XiiaLive Lite (formeraly Droid Live) and like it. I'm able to get the local AM sports radio station and listen all day long. Although I have to bring my charger to work with me.
... anyone know if it is possible to stream Pandora via Bluetooth on the Droid? I'm struggling to see how it could work...
Just download Easy Tether in the market. It's free and my Droid tethers very nicely when I need it to (which isn't so often). RMX
Apparently the OTA update was stopped almost as soon as it began to be rolled out. From what I've read, and attempted to piece together (it gets confusing after a while) the initial update was causing some users to data connections either completely or made it spotty. It seems that they figured it out very quickly. Either that had to do with those doing it manually or not I have no idea. But the new date is next week sometime, it's definitely going to be re-rolled out before Droid 2 is officially released. Also the expected official release of Flash in the 18th. I've linked androidforums.com starting at the last page. http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/140721-how-force-official-android-2-2-froyo-update-motrola-droid-frg01b-update-1-2-a-14.html
The guy at the store didn't know... Can someone with a droid and has gmail who uses google docs.... If you can look to see if you can open the documents section and open a spread sheet, and more importantly can you share the spread sheet, and can you see the other person on? I am just trying to see if I can see the other person making changes as you could from your normal computer. Thanks in advance...
Not in "real time" like using two desktop PC's. The mobile must hit the refresh icon, then the desktop user's changes come right through.
Thanks.. Can you see them on? such as in the right corner Jack is viewing or jack is typing, at least.. So you know if they clicked off.. And can you add changes, they can see in real time, or would you also have to click refresh.. Thanks in advance, I am really thinking of getting one if it can do this..
Confirmed, it does not have 'real time' updates like on a PC. Would I buy it again? 100% in a second. I have owned a ton of phones, including each version of of the iSuck (but not the iSuck 4). None of them survived more than 4 months before I either threw it out the window in frustration or gave it away to another unsuspecting owner. I've had the Droid since Jan 2. No interest in changing to an X, Droid2, or anything really. It does *exactly* what I need and quite quickly. In my area, reception is stellar. When I drove down to the beach this summer (4+ hours) I had turn-by-turn navigation, Pandora streaming, bluetooth calls, and email all running simultaneously. No exaggeration... it was simply amazing. The navigation is superb. The gmail/contacts/calendar integration is creepy fast. Configuration? Enter your gmail ID and password. You're done.
Why no.. I didn't know that.. But I do now... Thanks for the heads up.. I will call and see when I can get that one instead...
