Congrats on selling the car! Just think of all the time you'll save not answering questions on ebay...

I don't think so - I'll ask him as he drives away in it, though.

    And thanks, Drew!

I have a car listed on ebay now. It has 73 watchers and only about 4 people bidding on it. I have had several calls and 4 buyers that I feel to be serious. I have had one sight unseen offer close to what I'll take and two people lined up to come look at it next week. I would be very surprised if it isn't sold next week. The odd thing is that none of the current bidders have contacted me with questions. Ebay definately WILL find the buyers!

I've been drooling over that white on white Testarossa since the beginning of the auction, but sadly I'm not in a position to bid right now....Maybe I should sell the Delorean....

You've done nothing wrong. You're offering an amazing car at an incredible price. Anyone who can see the intrinsic value of a TR in that condition will see it. Unfortunately, the economy just now really screws with people's reasoning. May seem weird to say it, but your car is a very rational purchase if someone wanted to justify it in the long term.

Drew don't listen to the haters. You have a nice car and are trying to get what is fair for you mentally for it-I completely understand.....I have been there. I don't understand why anyone on this site would ever accuse you of being dishonest or unethical especially after seeing the way you have conducted yourself here on f-chat. You have only proven to be a likeable no-confrontational guy who is a real F-car enthusiast. Best of luck with the sale but as I said in my previous post, think long and hard before you let it go, as nice cars are tough to find these days. BTW where did you originally get that car from? Forza had one for sale a couple years back but I don't remember the interior being as nice as yours.

This is getting out of hand, Mr Drew has a car up for auction, nobody bids the minimum, so he raises the opening bid, nothing wrong with that, ( nobody bid yet ) , he gets offers , that means nothing because those who are making the offers have not bid, + thats what they need to do, I have bought and sold on Ebay , sold cars that people have not seen in person, bought cars that I have not seen in person , these sales go on all the time , thousands of sales a day ,If the car does not sell with a Buy It Now or the minimum bid of $ 45 K then perhaps one of these people with a phone offer will come through, but nothing unethical has happened here that I can see .

Thanks guy for chiming in, I thought I was going crazy with those replies!

I actually found the car listed here on FChat, it was buried on like page 6 of the ads when I bought it. Older gentleman that moved to Mexico and left the car on the west coast of florida at a show room. I thought it was a real find.

When I sold my 308GTB on ebay I started my no-resever price at a price I was comfortable with letting it go at. There are also fees to take into consideration depending on how its listed. You pay heavy fees with the buy it now option for example, peanuts with no-reserve. I sold my car this way even though some whiners from this site shot me down and accused me of not really having a no-reserve auction because of my starting price it still sold and I got what I wanted which bothered many people lol.

.........................................................................I see no reason why somebody would be bothered by that unless they were hopeing for your mis-fortune, you did the right thing, starting at the minimum price with no reserve, if anybody bids they win if nobody else bids, and yet anybody else can bid and win the auction for a few extra bucks , thats the way it is, Some people are only happy if they can get the car for a steal of a deal, some people associate Ebay with steal of a deal sales only, sometimes yes if the seller is desperate., but thats not allways the case .

Yeah, but since your car was on FLEABAY that must mean it was a piece of garbage. Because every Ferrari on eBay is crap, and the only people who sell there are people trying to unload their cars to unsuspecting long distance victims. That's what I read here every day!
