I'll stick with beer bets And speaking of... another case says Massa won't be leaving at the end of this year. How much faith do you have in your "little bird" informant?
Now that's a bold bet. You must expect some good results from him. Or is it that you think that the proposed replacements won't be available?
A little of both. The two most obvious seem to be staying with their current teams. Anyone else currently available would be a lateral move for the Scuderia. And I expect him to show Alonso the way in Turkey. He seems to really like that track. Either way, a case of beer is a small price to pay for the fun of popping off to Andreas
No problem. Not that much to be perfectly honest. They have been wrong before (e.g. no new chassis for Ferrari coming at this point). They're only small birds, if you catch my drift. I'm not gonna take that bet: With Kubica and Webber out of the picture, I don't really see anybody lining up who could do a better #2 driver job than Massa. That's not to say there aren't a bunch of better drivers out there, but they have to be available and able to get along with Alonso. I am however happy to bet that Alonso will outscore MS next year. Again. Up for a case of beer on that one?
Still remember ours Andreas? 2011 or 2012, Schumi is going to win me some Becks! All the best, Andrew.
The last comment by TifosiUSA was meant as sarcasm. Of course I was hoping he'd see the light, but no. Haven't forgotten it. Remember this is not "just" about MS. It is also a question whether Merc is capable of producing a winning car. Which I very much doubt.
Well, yes... I know Ross Brawn can develop a winning car and I know Schumacher can give the feedback to make that possible - what I don't know really is how much Mercedes, behind closed doors, is influencing decisions in a way that is not supported by Ross Brawn. I think that'll determine whether I'm the one buying you beer. By the way, what's your favorite brand? All the best, Andrew.
MS has nothing to prove in terms of achievements, wins and statistics. His record will likely never be surpassed, even if he never wins another race. He has major balls to come back into the lions den and battle with the youngsters as well as Alonso/Ferrari/McLaren and also deal with the massive weight of expectation on his shoulders. Despite the results this year he always seems ultra-relaxed and totally at ease in every interview. How many others would do something similar as opposed to sit back and enjoy a life of extreme wealth and luxury? Not many I think. To many people who do not understand the racer's psychology his motivation appears crazy, but it is evident how much passion he has for the sport. Sorry no hate here, he is one of the very greatest of all time and we are priveliged to be able to see him race again.
I can´t believe that there is a hate thread towards Schumacher and even more in a Ferrari community. As it was said before Schumacher wanted to race for Ferrari, but the Scuderia won´t give him a car so what should he do? Go round and round in boxes without doing anything? Schumacher wanted to race, Ferrari didn´t gave him the opportunity so Ross Brawn made him an offer to race in F1, where de you see the treason? I was a truly a tiffosi until last year, i had mi plane ticket to visit Italy and the Ferrari factory this june, and after all the comments, and the "schumacher traitor" issues becoming from the stupid ferrari fans I asked for a refund and a i cancelled mi trip. Do you forget that until Schumacher came to Ferrari the Scuderia was a lousy team? Do you forget how many championships do you have thanks to Schumacher? Who do you think that brought Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn? I am truly sad about this issue but honestly Ferrari didn´t deserve a Fangio, a Froilan Gonzalez, and above all a Michael Schumacher. I honestly hope that Ferrari reamains without championships for another 12 years so there you will realize what a pilot you are critizing. Here you have a video, i hope you reconsider your opinions about Schummi, ferrari ows him EVERYTHING! And pay attention to Luca DiMontezemolo´s tears..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqAmZMV3CcA&feature=fvst
Not really. Schumacher could have continued racing for Ferrari in 2007 if he wanted to. He chose not to race with Kimi in the team. His decision, not Ferraris. Schumacher could have raced for Ferrari last year to replace the injured Massa. He chose not to race, allegedly because of his neck injury, in reality probably because he didn't want to drive a sub par car. His decision, not Ferraris. What would have happened this year, we don't know. My own feeling is, that if he had chosen to drive for Ferrari, they would have let him alongside Alonso. Welcome to FERRARIchat. BTW: What's the 12 year reference about? Do you mean the 21 years since Sheckter?
One post? I am thinking troll here. Cannot believe that a Tifosi would cancel a trip to the Ferrari factory bcus some people on Fchat call Schumi a traitor. If Fchat means so much why only one post? Looks to me like you are a Schumi fan and not a true Tifosi or at least that may be what you want us to believe.
Well AFAIK I haven't checked, but has anyone actually posted that they hate the guy..? If not whats the fuss.
+1 Schumacher's moved on, Ferrari have moved on, surely it's about time some of the Tifosi move on as well?. As for: For Me, Schumacher could only ever make #2, Gilles is #1 forever!. Gilles Villeneuve, Too young to die, Too fast to live!
