Geez that's just silly- Can you imagine life in that 355 with no air vents in the middle- Spider or not- Sometimes it rains....

I never quite understood the need to produce Funny Car levels of straight ahead aceleration i a car designed to HANDLE like a 355.

Why not just buy a 2010 ZR1- performance unmatched by any mid engined Fcar and out the door for $110K. Seems that between the value of decent 355, nitrous mods, exhaust and intake mods- you'd be pushing $90K and have a car that was worth LESS than a stock 355.

Titanium rods don't go real well with the "shock" of nitrous.
I wouldn't recommend *****ing with it.
If you do, I'll PM my address.....we've had sucess welding 355 blocks with holes blown in them. :D

Actually nitrous is the great equalizer...as long as everything in the system is functioning properly and the existing parts are up to the added stress.
With the repair costs on a 355 engine, I don't think I'd do it. One lean condition and you've got an expensive sleeve and burnt piston to repair.

It would be just as easy as installing nitrous on any other car. If you do it I would dyno it while monitoring air/fuel ratio and fuel pressure just to make sure it is tuned right.

I would never consider doing it to my own car. Not a big fan of nitrous and never owned a car with it.

For 911TT and Z06s you would have to give the F355 engine such a big dose, that it is unlikely to survive very many bottles, even if set up perfectly. Look the F355 engine puts out 75% of the Z06 HP at 50% of its size. It is what it is, and is already producing 50% more per CID than the Z06 engine.

As for 911TTs, there are dozens of 600+ HP monsters running around Austin.

Been there done that when mag PI and 308 were all the rage. I've run NO in too many cars to count. You need any extra I got a full D cylinder in my garage. What do you want to know about running nitrous? You can do a search I have talked about it on Fchat plenty and how before my 308 engine rebuild I ran out of bigger jets and the engine still would not blow up.
