    I was going over my 2009 racing pictures and came across this one. It looks pretty funny now, but at the time I was pretty concerned about safety. I have been told 2010 tires won't have this problem. Sure hope so. :D

    The steel cords in the tire casing breaking under load. Michelin was well aware of the problem in 2009. It even asked us to given them a sample of a used Pirelli slick to study. Supposedly this year Michelin changed the cord construction to solve this problem. In the 2010 Carrera Cup Asia season opening race all seems fine for 997 Cup cars. Won't know till later in the year if 430 is OK as well.
