Hi guys just seeing if anyone knows of problems with the electrical side of the interlocker system on the gta's?
If i power up the solenoid it works so it not that, or an adjustment issue that i've heard of either.
    any help would be great
    cheers

On a WAG mechanical note...have you tried harshly rocking the car back and forth in P with no P brake on and then try?

yeah its not a mechanical issue. ive pulled all the trims out of the way and the solenoid that locks the lever in the park position doesnt have power going to it. if i power it up the shifter does what it should and comes out of park

then you start from the shifter and trace the wires backward and look for an open fault. You can use one of those tone generator things to trace it back to the source rather than trying to freshen random grounds and dinking around with the fues etc..

    yeah done that too...
    theres no break.
it goes to a control unit in the boot that has over complicated electronics inside.
just thought there might have been a common poblem
