    Cool pix! I was there as well that year. As I recall the dealer that owned that car was on Chicago Avenue off of State Street. Thats where I first saw that white/white beast.

    Interestingly, in the 1987 Chicago Auto Show, there was yet another white/white Countach, this time a QV fuel-injected car (together with a Jalpa and an LM002).

    Argento/Rosso is both rare and fantastic on a Countach.

    Blu Acapulco is another sublime color.

    Yesterday I got to know that the copper LP400s exposed at Geneva around 1980-? was sold directly to a swiss who still owns it. He is located in the region of Lake Constance.

    Here is an image of 1120202 as newly delivered to Walter Wolf. The gold used for the Campagnolo "Bravo" wheels was not bright either, but rather more of a bronze hue. I think this changed with later Countach variants. As time went on in production the wheels were finished a bit brighter.

    many countachs in rare colors have been repainted in more common colors...a pity imo

    These cars were probably from Motortech in Barrington, the Lambo franchise at the time in the NW Chicago burbs.

    the flares are flat black too... the refinishing is treading on being over restored imo.

    anyone know what happen to rudolf's #1120188 wolf look alike in the SD museum?
