I agree. If it wasn't so ugly it would be very strong competition for Ferrari.

Maybe the ex Ferrari design stylist is still being paid by Ferrari while working for McLaren...

Style wise it's a real amateur affair, full of the kind of design cues that a mildly talented first year design student would think clever.

I read an interview with Frank Stephenson (the American design chief at Maclaren who came from Ferrari) and he said he came on board too late to make significant changes to the MP4 12C but was able to tweak the front and rear lights. It'll be interesting to see what he does with the other models if/when they are released.

my goodness, if ever there was a car that needed a FULL REBODY...this is it. the car underneath is wicked. there were pics of it 'naked'...awesome cf tub and alloy subframes with an epic lump (although i still think it sounds nasty..and not in a good sense) it just looks like a dune buggy with a goofy fish mouth.

The back is really ugly, but am I the only one thinking the front and sides aren't bad at all?
It might be too early to tell, but on paper it looks like the McLaren will be hard to beat...

it's almost certain it will be able to do ridiculous numbers..HOWEVER...it remains to be seen, felt, heard, how it drives while doing those numbers:)
