Thank you everyone for the good words :)! ......... it was quite a process to come to this final design for the 2.7. The whole system was designed and fabricated in the 'Abyss' ....... spurred by the performance desires of its new owner .......

I will be making a 5.2 version and a CS header version next. They will feature Monster Twin Bypass Valves and the same Quad Inlet Silencer design as this system. Though I am still contemplating this Scud Exit 'look' on mine ........

The Twin Bypass Valves in the pics are 'ultra robust' in design/construction and each is larger than the single factory valve! After fabrication, I tested them for proper function under extreme temps!

I would consider making a 'larger' factory replacement in the future or possibly an upgrade mod. .. :)

    ......... is it a Rossa 2.7 ...:)?

..... he may or may not come out of the wood work ........ though I am expecting some sound video clips and hopefully dyno numbers ...... :)

    Thanks Robbie :)!!!

I am the lucky owner of Goth's first monster twin valve exhaust. Hopefully I will get it installed by the mid or late June. I already have arrangments to have the car dynoed with the stock exhaust and Goth's in July so we can see power gains. I will have video and sound clips for all to hear. We talked about either doing a center dual exhaust that would exit below the license plate but I decided I would like to go the Scuderia type of exhaust and Goth said there would actually be a reduced engine bay temp with this type plus I think it will look unique. I plan on installing the exhaust then I will deal with the holes left by the stock exhaust later this summer. When it is at the dyno, he is going to reprogram the computers to the new exhaust. I am going to have the car dynoed before the computer change so we can see the difference that makes. The car will have Fabspeed headers, Hyperflow, GruppeM,Goth's exhaust, reprogramed computers, and Dave Helms connector kit. Stay tuned.

Sorry, I forgot, Enginefixer rebuilt my motor with new guides, liners, pistons, and ported heads. I know, for the money I spent on this car, I could have gotten a real Scuderia instead of just the Scuderia type exhaust.

Yeah, to try and put it briefly ...... initially, Bob asked if I could make a monster 355 exhaust that flowed like another 'Twin Valve' 355 exhaust but kept as much F1 sound as possible?? ......... I said it can be done, at minimum to sound as F1 as my first 355 exhaust :)!! (However I have learned new things since then and have worked this nero example to exude more F1 sound than my first 355 exhaust iteration  )

Then we started tossing around exit locations, with Bob sending me pics of 355s with centered/altered locations for ideas ....... it took some back/forth then after I sent Bob some Photoshop samples, in scud postion and mentioned the added bonus of 'exhaust augmented' cooling ......... the decision for 'scuderia' exit location was made :D!!!!

That set the gears in motion for this monster, 'gothspeed' 2.7 exhaust iteration, ending into that multi-functional scuderia exit configuration!! Twin Bypass Valves would be needed to accomdate 'maximum flow' and thus maximum RWHP ...... but I did not want to use separate actuators ..... spring rates could be slightly different and each cylinder bank ...... if even for a short moment ..... may see different back pressure (especially if one vacuum line kinked or worse .... one diaphragm failed ) ...... so I implemeted a common shaft linkage and single billet actuator to be the solution. So no matter what, both cylinder banks would see 'identical' exhaust configuration, at all times .........

This F355 ...... with all its upgrades ........ simply put ............. is gonna be freakin awesome :D!!!

Goth is making some adjustments to the valves on the bypass and should have it back to me this week. As soon as I get it, I will get some video and sound.

Thanks guys ......... can't wait to hear more also ......... .............. I will be upgrading my 355 'bypass delete' exhaust, to make it more 'modular' with v-band couplings .......... the same way I did this 2.7 version ......... :)

Looks great Oz!! (missed this thread the first time round )

Did you fabricate the bypass valve for this? Does it work in the same was as OEM or is it reversed like other aftermarket valves?

Thanks :)!! The twin valves sharing a common shaft allowed a single actuator, which needs a lesser amount of vacuum to actuate than a separate actuator on each valve ;). The vacuum process is unchanged and uses the factory solenoid for actuation.

Save for the v-band clamps the entire exhaust, including the twin monster bypass valves, were designed and fabricated in the 'Laboratory Abyss' ......

Here is one more vid ........ more vids at full wail to come ..... :D
