There's no bus throw there.... What is there are two things: 1. Gamesmanship on the part of Alonso to kick the teams ass a bit (nothing wrong with that). 2. The writer attempting to bait Alonso into actually doing it!
Well Alonso isn't happy with the leisurely car development at Ferrari. He notes that Red Bull and McLaren are MUCH more aggressive in developing their cars... CH
downplaying forthcoming updates and ability to gain pace... yes throwing under the bus... not so much IMO. Ferrari needs to push hard right now to close the gap.
Ferrari's tech team is sh!tting the bed; domenicali should stfu about how much work there is to do and actually start doing it. He should be nervous for his job imho. Team is going backwards....
It's the part where Leggard says that Alonso 'told him he's throwing the team under the bus'. Garbage article...repositioning comments to support his lame premise.
Complete BS article. This is just some dumb ass journalists who is taking Alons0's remarks out of context. I am pretty sure this all made up to stir up some excitement. Whats worse than the media is the media in F1.
I don't see where Alonso is throwing Ferrari under the bus, but I think he needs to just shut up and quit making mistakes.
I agree the context in which this journalist is conveying the message is all wrong. I guess they need to create some drama so our idiot commentators with Speed channel will have something to talk about. I cant stand the Speed commentators........
Frickin journo's are the cause of 99.99% of the riffs and arguements on F1 forums/threads but their editors are more to blame for allowing such BS.
He should be frustrated, I'm frustrated watching it. Ferrari seems to be keeping a mediocre pace (in regards to development) to RB and McL. The team as well as the drivers need to step their game up real fast.
I think it's safe to say I am one of Fernando Alonso's greatest detractors... I really don't like seeing him in a Ferrari at all. I think he's too inflammatory plays team politics very poorly, much to the detriment of himself and especially the team around him. However, in this particular case, he seems to be right on the money. I think his frustration at the development rate is understandable and there's nothing wrong with giving the team a little public nudge now and again. In fact, that's exactly what he should be doing in this scenario. This isn't a big story. There are many reasons not to like Alonso... and this isn't one of them. All the best, Andrew.
Ferrari may not have the right people to force the issue, after all, it's been all downhill since Brawn and Todt left.
Quite simply, Ferrari needs to step it up if they want to be a force this season. Alonso is more than capable of winning with a great (not even the best) car. He currently has an upper mid car at best.
Fixed it (by removing Todt). Ferrari's single biggest mistake was not jumping at the opportunity to bring Ross Brawn back in 2007 after his 1 year sabbatical. Unfortunately, Brawn wanted a Team Principal position, Todt didn't want to give it to him even though he was planning to step down in a year, so Brawn had to look elsewhere. Just imagine what Ferrari might have accomplished if Luca had had the guts to dump Todt a year early and make Brawn Team Principal in 2007...
