Black Enzo

My name is Michael Koss and I work at The Auto Gallery in Calabasas, Ca. We came across a Certificate of Origin book for a Black Enzo that we sold once upon a time. i thought the current owner of the car might like to have it. Michael, the owner of that car passed away last year. Since then, the car has bounced around a little. Scottsdale had it for sale back in August and September; and then it was for sale with Dew Luxury Motor Cars in Pinellas Park, FL, back in October. It's been off of my radar since then, so you might want to start with them.

 

Ran a carfax on the car and it looks like it was sold out of Florida back in November of 2009

 

That's a good sign; the information is consistent. Call Dew Luxury Motor Cars and see if they'll tell you who bought the car. Or, at the very least, they can give your information to the new owner and the new owner can call you.

I love it when a plan comes together.

This car was once rumored to be owned by Rod Stewart (in addition to his confirmed red one). Is there any truth to this? And while I know that it was ordered new from the factory with yellow gauges, the Rod Stewart rumor says that it had/has black gauges. Any truth to that?

So the person who bought it from you was not Luxury Motor Cars? I only ask because you guys had it for sale on 22 September of last year, and Luxury had it for sale on 08 October. So in two weeks it went from you to a private owner to Luxury and then on to someone else?

The car was for sale in Scottsdale in September of last year, not here at The Auto Gallery. We sold the car brand new back in 2003.

carbon, i am very impressed with you and your knowledge of the enzo market. i can remember 8 years ago when you were new on here and floundering a bit. somebody has given you good advice, and you have run with the ball for a touchdown. very well done.

I bet a lot of folks have some memory of what I was like when I first got here. I sure have learned a lot. But my favorite memory is when Wayne Ausbrooks posted a picture of a 250 GTO and I said, "Wow, that looks really cool - what is it?"
