The prior owner of my F430 had the windows tinted and .... yuck, sorry for fans of tint, but it's just plain strange to do on a spider, IMHO. It looks like it's a film applied to the inside of the window. I'm wondering, is this a DIY kind of job to remove? Tom
Not hard as long as you take your time. I removed the tint on my Benz but not the Fcar since I do not have tint on my Fcar. You need: 1) TINT-OFF from an autopart store 2) Razor (homedepot) The removal was very simple - just follow the direction of the bottle. MAKE SURE you cover all the windows surrounding + do it in a garage to avoid wind-spray. When you remove the glue residue, keep your razor moving as one continuous stroke (either up or down) to avoid spreading the glue back on the glass - you will see what I meant. windex, a black trashbag, and a couple hours of sun work wonders as well. Links below recommend ammonia, I always used Windex with good results. http://www.tintdude.com/remove.html http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Window-Tint
razor blade, soapy water. pull it off slowly to minimize residue left on window. then use a squirt bottle and soak window with soapy water and use razor to take it off.
I 'very carefully' used small amounts of ammonia in a VERY vented area. Tint peeled off in single huge sheets once started. Didn't take too long at all.
