Awesome, I'm shipping the watch out sometime this week or next week depending upon how busy my schedule is. I'm very glad they're indeed going to own up to their 180 day warranty and replace the watch without issues, I was getting worried for a few moments there!

Another site that I found with some quality watches that I was tempted to order off of is PureTime Watch (puretimewatch.com). They're quite a bit more expensive than WatchEden though.

EDIT: Carry on showing off your watches to us all Pap ;). I'll get a picture of mine before I ship it out to show you all what happened to the poor thing :(.

I'm trying to see what a Panarai might look like on my wrist. I typically like 39mm IWC watches but also like the style of the 44mm Panerai Lumina (Marina). Does anyone here have one that can post a photo of it on your wrist? Thanks!

After visiting some replica forums, I discovered other websites that offer better quality reps than watcheden.

Each site has it speciality . Read the forums to become an educated buyer.

Those who find good sites post them.

Find it funny how many of you guys wear blatantly fake watches, yet vehemently express your disgust towards replica cars, etc.

    I thought about it, too...
I don't like replica cars, but I do consider buying a replica watch...

I have never once let someone compliment a replica watch I wear without telling them the truth. The way I figure it, for $100 you can buy some "okay" looking watches or get something as beautiful as a Panerai. I know it's fake and I know it's unfair to the watch company, but if I could afford the real thing I would buy that instead. Unlike many people on this board, I cannot afford it.

On a similar note, I think a replica Shelby Cobra would be fine to own. They are, in many ways, better than the real thing (brakes, suspension, etc).

I have to agree, if I could afford a real Breitling, I would have one right now - sadly for now, I'm a poor college student and whenever someone has said anything about my watch, I promptly tell them "Thanks, though unfortunately it's just a replica!" I could never pass it off as being a legitimate watch.

Though there are many instances where I've seen kit/replica cars and thought they looked great, I think it takes a good deal of skill to do some of them and have them come out looking as clean and otherwise accurate as they do... Though, I'd rather not own most of them.

Completely different things in my mind. Let me put on my rep Hublot and tell you how much I can't stand it when someone guts a perfect 250GTE to make a fake GTO....

If most replica cars were as good as these replica watches then I wouldnt show my disgust towards replica cars as such. :D:D

99% of replica cars are down right horrid. 99% of these watches look half decent. :):)

I blatantly wear fake watches, but I dont pass them off as real ones when friends/people compliment them. ;);)

But each to their own my friend. I wish I could afford to buy real $60K watches............

Fortunately for me, the "dream watch" I'd have doesn't cost $60,000. :)

In fact, here's one on eBay with a buy-it-now price of $2,500 (I've no connection to the seller, I'm just wistfully watching the listing):

    Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rolex Datejust Two-Tone (Stainless Steel and 18ct Yellow Gold)

I'd either go for a white face like that or maybe a stainless steel face. Probably the white one as pictured. With the quality of Rolex watches being so high, I don't really see the necessity of buying a new one (even if I could afford to). As long as it has been regularly serviced, a used one should still last you decades.

That said, I'm not sure how safe or risky it would be to purchase expensive luxury items through eBay or anywhere else online. Will it turn up in the post? Will it be genuine? And I don't know where else might sell used genuine Rolex watches.

In any case, my £80 Accurist has served me well over the last 8 years and will probably suffice while I save up for my Ferrari 348. ;) :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

A lot of us DO OWN the real watches but would prefer to wear a fake identical watch to keep the real one from being stolen, scratched, broken, etc. as I do with mine.... better to have a thief run off with a $100 watch instead of the $5-20k watch... no misleading unless intended by the wearer of a fake watch... and who cares really?

So does that mean you drive your replica 355 to the store because you're afraid of the real one being stolen?

The only circumstance I can think of where wearing a fake watch is acceptable is if you're considering dropping some serious coin on the real thing and would rather spend $100 to test it out.

But the bottom line is that fakes are for fakes. It's really funny to see how you guys justify it though... keep it up!

Would you consider generic Xanax? Gets the job done, probably does a lot of good to some people.

I don't own a Ferrari... I drive a Fiat Spider 124... maybe that passes for a fake Ferrari too???

I wear Dockers deck shoes that are identical to Sperry deck shoes so am I wearing a fake... no... The replica watch is a wrist saver and people DO KNOW I own the real thing... they KNOW I wear this fake to prevent the real one from being damaged... I get into some intricate areas of aircraft and other machinery... should I wear my real watch???? NO... that is why some choose to wear fakes or cheap watches... but if I could spend $100 for a Timex or junk watch it might as well be a fake or replica of a decent watch... they last just as long and they actually LOOK better... I'd rather wear a fake/replica Paneri than a Citizen or Timex anytime, chances are they're made in the same factiory as the replicas somewhere in Asia!

Nice watch. Go for it. :D:D

$2500 is reasonable and is affordable to some people. :D:D

Not too many people can afford to blow $60K or more on a watch. :(:(
