    hi guys, I´m translate the part of the change the timing belt in one 348, english to spanish, and I have one several problem with one small text. somebody can explain my more better this text ?

    "bring the valves clearance of cylinders nos 1 and 5 to 0.50mm"

    this is the exaclty text, but I dont understand very well because I don´t know if the manual want say me that I have check the clearance, or I have see it, or I have make it, I don´t know what is bring...

    I think only is check but I´m not sure :(

    In this context, the term bring in English means to "make it" or "change to."

    For example, "bring water to a boil" would mean to change its temperature to 100 degress celsius.

    Make it.

    You are being instructed to re-shim the valves on those two cylinders to 0.50mm (Timing Clearance) as part of the method described using a dial indicator to establish proper cam timing. After timing has been set those valves (and any others that are out of spec) are returned to the 0.20mm - 0.25mm clearance spec (Working Clearance).

    This was an incredibly confusing method for me to understand, Good Luck.

    then, I have put one shim more small (0.50 clearance) above the lifter cil 1 and 5 and put the dowels in the correct position and after I have put other time the shims whit 0.20 clearance ??

    is very rare ! :S :S

    is very dificult for me, how make it the mechanics F-CHAT users ?

    Acuerdate q no puedes sacar las arvores de levas. Las pastillas las tienes q sacar con todo assemblado, utilizando dos peqenas herramientas de Ferrari.

    El objectivo de poner las valvulas mas delanteras a la holga de 0,5mm es para q sea mas sensible la medicion de los grados para poner a punto las arvores.
