That's a nice looking Spider. It was for sale in Atlanta about a year ago. It seemed to go up for sale in California shortly after it disappeared from the web site in Atlanta. Initially the price in California was a lot higher than the price in Atlanta, but it's now priced close to the asking price when it was in Atlanta.

Seems like a clean one, with some nice options (red calipers, challenge grill) and a reasonable price. (I don't know the seller, nor have I seen the car in person).

The front 5 switches are turning sticky, factor that into the price to replace or refinish them and deduct about $10K off the price still puts you a bit high for the current market

Recommend Cavallo Motorsports in Carlsbad. They did a PPI last year when I was looking at a 348..... turned up several serious problems.... and charged me a very reasonable fee considering the extent of the inspection. They can trailer the car in/out if the seller is agreeable.

+1 on the Cavallo recommendation. Great service, great guys & a fair price. They'll dig up the history on the car for you as well.

Cavallo's website has a Rosso Barchetta F355B for sale, with a price that seems on the low end, $47k. This includes a major as part of the purchase price.

The miles seem higher than average (40k), on the face of it that seems like the only knock against it.

Did they drag it out if a swamp upside-down, or is mid-$40's the price of a good driver 355 these days?

Seems like a great price. The mileage is 46k, which is high but would allow for care free driving.

Remember, if the headers and valves aren't done, budget accordingly.

355 prices should be divided between cars that have and haven't had these issues addressed.

As a former employee of Cavallo, I concur they're very competent as well. They also have SD2 on hand and can do a very thourough inspection.

Vista, CA is in my backyard but I've never run across this 355. Sorry I can't help on that end of things however I can do a "+1" on having Cavallo Motorsports do the PPI for you. Ask for Chris Dugan and tell him Fchat sent you. :)

Someone else was recently looking at this (was posting in the SoCal section of Fchat). I don't know if he ever followed through on the PPI but I'll tell you what, you can trust what Jim M (at Cavallo) says the car needs. If they are throwing in a major for the price, it seems like quite the sweet deal. I think the rosso barchetta color is nice change from all the rest. I've seen this car in person a couple times and just based on my casual 'inspection' it seemed like a fair-to-good example. I never inquired much about it though since I wouldn't want my mistress (95 F355 GTS) to think I was cheating on her. :D
