    My "new" speedlines (18's) arrived yesterday evening. They did not come with bolts. I already knew that my stock 348 bolts would be too long (and I verified this morning that the front bolts are approximately 25mm too long for both the front and rear wheels).

    Does anyone happen to know what would be the correct size bolts for these wheels, and where I might find a set (without breaking the bank)?...

    Cram the 348 spider rear bolt through both the front and rear wheels. What is the exact amount that protrudes from back?

    What type of seats do your stock lug bolts have?

    More than likely your Speedlines have a conical seat - which require conical bolts. Just an FYI when doing your shopping..

    Will do. I'll wait to hear back from Daniel at Ricambi before I pull the trigger elsewhere. I will also definitely post pics of the car, once I get the wheels installed (with new tires as well).

    I've had a lot of Diet Coke and Pop Tarts.... so, keep that in mind.


    The 94 spider bolt that you used for measurement should be 80mm under the head, with a 27mm head and 20mm of thread. The total length therefore is 107mm.

    If you measured 2 7/8 inches exposed (including threads), that equates just a hair beyond 73mm. Since we must retain 20mm of thread, you've got 53mm of shank too much. In other words, you need a bolt with about 50mm under the head (including threads).

    If you ring us today, we can send out two different Hill Engineering bolts (45mm and 50mm) for you to test with.

    Thanks Lane. I reviewed your notes in that thread. Based on my crude measurements (and with Daniel's help earlier), it appears that I need bolts with a 30mm shank (measured from the edge of the taper to the end of the threads). So far, I've found 25mm, 35mm, and 45mm, all ranging in price from ~$4.00-$8.00 each. I'm not looking to spend big bucks (the Hill bolts are $19 each x20). I will check out the site you recommended here as well.

    just an FYI, I used Daniel for my Rear Bolts as my fronts were fine.
    I didn't mind paying the $20.00 a bolt as they are better then factory from Hill and Daniel is a stand up guy so he gets my business all day long...just my .02.
    You go Brother and post pics. Can't wait to see how she rides

    I hear you, Glenn. And I agree, Daniel is absolutely a stand up guy. This time though, I just can't justify a full set of bolts at $19 each. I did find a used set of 19 Ferrari bolts (1 short) this evening for $175. I'll definitely go back to Daniel for the missing one.

    Now on to finding the right tires...

    I did what rbelleza did and just used a die to cut threads on up the bolts and then cut them off the length I needed. That is actually pretty easy and if you have the metric die doesn't cost you anything. I had the same dilemma on keeping the original bolts for my stock wheels, but got over it when I found out how much the bolts cost. I figured if I ever went back I would just pick up a set of used ones that go with the stock wheels at that point. I can't see every going back from my 360 wheels, but the next guy that owns the car might - I'll let him worry about it.

    I went ahead and bought those used Ferrari bolts in the correct size. I won't have to cut them down, and at least I'll have the stock bolts in case I decide to sell the 348 wheels.

    I also used Daniel to replace 10 bolts that had chrome chipped off. $19/bolt is a lot cheaper than $108/bolt for the factory ones and Daniel will always help you out if you have a concern or question with a purchase. He gets my business all day and night ...
