I want to put some new brake pads my F355CH. Here in Aus, we can road register them, and I love it.

It has 355mm brakes front and back with good ventilation. I no longer track the car, but I still need a reasonable amount of performance out of the brakes for spirited driving through the hills and would prefer something that’s not noisy, not dusty and kind to the discs.

Is that combination impossible or, if not, what would you recommend? The pad material is 25mm thick btw

Believe it or not, I've been using DS11s for the track...they still look like new! The old timers will know all about them. But they're too noisy and dusty for the road. (and full of asbestos)

As I said, I'm most conscious about brake dust and kindness to the discs...I don't believe fade is an issue. Obviously brakes this big never need to work as hard as the standard 355 brakes, so it's hard to find anyone with real knowledge on the subject.

Any ideas anyone? (with reasons please)

On my F355 I am using DS2500s because of their rotor friendliness, high mu, and if you are careful you can drive them without squeeking.

ETA: I get about 5 track weekends on these pads with street tires. So they are up to the ask of repetably stopping cars of F355 performance levels with fresh fluid.

Still a lot of dust. I'm running DS2500's on my DD. You do have the advantage of the wheel design on the 355, so very easy to clean.

About the same as stock pads.

What I do is to use a automotive polish/glase on the wheels and then wax them. IT does not keep the dut off, just makes it easier to re-remove the dust later.
