How about another meet at Jack Astors again this summer in London. Any one interested? Another location would be cool also. Springbank Park would be a nice setting. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I added some pics from the 2008 meet. Perhaps a drive route would be fun too. id be down with that - a saturday morning would be better than a sunday for me. Larry will you organize ?
I'll pencil in Saturday July 24. AM -London - exact location soon to be determined. Any ideas welcome. '79 308GTS - Hope to have a '78 400GT ready also Big Red's TR
I'm in as well, as long as that date doesn't conflict with anything. There is one weekend in July that I'm out of town. Have to check with my wife on that. Another option for location is the north end of town. That strip in the south end is always so busy and the parking lot is always packed. There is a Montana's in the NW end with lots of parking. Montana's - 1335 FANSHAWE PARK RD., LONDON, ONTARIO, N6G5B4 HYDE PARK RD & FANSHAWE PARK DR I'm sure Acemaster would be interested as well. Mike...you there?
I will agree that the south end is very busy, however the added drive to Fanshawe Rd. would be at least an another 1/2 hour. That could be a big factor for visitors from Toronto or Windsor traveling the 401. Perhaps we can get a potential south end restaurant that would reserve a numbers of spots. Being a morning get together, I hope it wouldn't be as much of an inconvenience to the restaurateur's parking area. Most of the gang will eat lunch and the owner will will be happy.
I talked with Rick Walker today, Executive producer of Old Autos Television, A Channel. He is coming to video the event for his television show. Some of you may remember he taped and aired the event I organized a few years back at the RM Classic meet in Chatham.
I am in baby!! I had no idea there was such an event in London, thanks Dennis for bringing this to my attention.
Hey guys, I see that there was a meet in 2008, but was there also a meet last summer? If so, I missed that thread and obviously missed the event too...bummer if so. I am looking forward to this event so I can meet the fellow Ferrari owners in London...as I said to Dennis, it sure is lonely owning a Ferrari London...that is until I came across this thread.
Good point. The only reason I mentioned it is because you talked about Springbank Park, and the Montana's in the NW end isn't much farther from the 401 than Springbank. It doesn't matter much to me where it is.
I am busy that weekend ! Had a great time in 2008. Yes it was raining a bit but that did not stop some great cars ( and people....) from showing up. The F-40 and Diablo were big hits. The summer really needs more weekends Greg
Any updates on this? Is anybody confirmed for this event? If so, how many? Count me as being confirmed
