"I save my Ferrari for beautiful sunny days, mountain roads, and NO traffic."

Never seen that combination of conditions anywhere I have lived. I drive the car anytime; if it rains, it rains. If there's traffic, there's traffic; and I'd have to drive several hundred miles to find a decent hill, let alone a mountain! :)

Yea, most of what he said.
Drive it on sunny days, get it dirty, wash it, wax it, and after you have washed and waxed your prize car drive it to make sure the water is all gone and the neighbors see you in a bright shiney Ferrari! Drive something else when it rains, usually who cars if the grocery hauler rusts out.

I don't know about the wheel bearing part, Ferrari wheel bearings are no different than any other car and with a grease seal and dust cap the bearings should be ok unless you drive your Ferrari/any car like a submarine you should be fine.

Isn't that what trailers are for, to bring it to the mountain and windy roads?

    I hope that's tongue in cheek! ;)

I drove mine 3000 miles two days after the first time I saw it - through deserts, mountains, rain, and speeds from 5mph to 140+. Temps were as high as 108F in bumper to bumper traffic. The car handled it with the same drama you'd expect from a Lexus...none.

Nice Cars... here's a shot of our 88' I guess you could argue they are a decedents from Packard, by way of Studebaker. This one has all Chevy Caprice running gear, they also ran ford as well. The company has a colorful past...

Agree. I have an 83QV and unless I get caught out in it, I won't drive it in the rain. Too much of an issue with rust with non-galvanized cars, and Ferrari didn't do that until '84.

Yep it was. although I do trailer mine on longer or over night trips, the 308's trunk is just too small for 3 dalmatians, their food, bowels, toys & crates, my wife luggage and my change of sox.

I should have noticed the molded in rocker panel cover, if you notice the wifes has a strip of black plastic over the frame rails. I think we,88 & 89 have the same spoiler/front bumper, the 87 is the one that doesn't have one

Your car is nice looking, which engine do you have, ours is a standard 305 with the rochester 4 barrell, It came with out the rear swaybar and delco shocks, I put in the Koni's mike Kelly said they all had rear swaybars and Koni's, he couldn't believe this one didn't

Drove home from work during a torrential downpour yesterday.

Car ran great, wipers did their job, did have to take off my shirt at 50mph to clear fog off the windshield...

This one has the same 305 with the air injector pipes still hooked up. I has the big Hotchkis sway-bars with Koni's, 353 posi rear, no cats. Picked it up in Colorado Springs in 2008 drove it home in a Snow Storm the day after the picture was shot. The wires wheels are pain but looks good.. Would love to drop an LS3 crate into it.. but other project call. They make nice daily drivers in the Shine shine state.

Ours had 20,000 miles on it when we bought it may of 1988 and has 39,500, It handeled about like a UPS truck with the old tires and Delco shocks, much better nownow, took off the BFG's running Goodyear 65 series Eagles. Yes the wires arre a pain but nothing looks better when they are cleaned polished and waxed. It takes me about 4 hours, that includes pulling them off the car and doing both sides.

We stopped showing when the wife became the President of AOAI for 4 years, and then we have moved twic since and just havent had time to show/drive here. We have started it twice since 2000

The air vents in the 328 will keep the windscreen clear in heavy rain, ....

... but you pretty much have to pull over to set them up. The controls aren't exactly "point and click". ;)

If you open the side windows even a crack in the rain, you wind up getting wet, so it's worth the pause to figure out the vent controls. :p
