I've spoken to Mr. Pascal Roby, the owner, near Autun and 2 of my fellows went down there. There are another Espada and 2x Miura. One that will be for sale in a near future and the 2nd that he keeps for himself. I plan to go there to inspect them !

The english gentleman story is true as Roby was holding all these cars for the english guy. Then he passed off. So Roby tried to contact him without success untill he learned the english guy diceased without any family. That's the reason why none car has title & papers.

Mr. Roby hates "broker" trying to steal him what he believes worth a fortune... what a waste of time he told me ! That's the reason why he finally sells the Mangusta & the S1 Espada through an Auctioneer. Then it will be another set of cars...and another set... untill he gets ride of everything.

How did Pascal Roby become the legal owner of these cars, with the right to sell them?

No idea... but I'm assuming it is probably solved by the "parking invoice" covered by the value of "cars cemetery" and all this mastered by a bailiff. I know another similar case solved like that !

Sounds potentially messy as hell. I bet this "farmer" sees vultures in his nightmares too.

To me the more interesting part of this story is that of the poor Englishman who dies after the savvy purchasing and storing of these cars all those years (well maybe not so much with the Espadas) but before he can realize any profit from his investments.

I have to believe that if an auction house has taken this car on, than it has to have its paperwork sorted.
Old cars here in CT needs no paperwork, just a bill of sale. Then a VIN check.

Great info - I didn't see this car in Glen's registry. Is it listed elsewhere?

I really like the way the wheels have aged to the darker grey, gives the car more 'depth' as opposed to bright silver.

    I have suggestion.
I would like to see the Jarama and Espada threads combined.
    Thoughts?

"Bleu Spettrale" with "Naturale" - FABULOUS.

    It must go back.

Ah, the "waiting for the owner to die then I get his ****" ploy.

    Understood.

I bet the deceased owner had family (everybody does!) who knew nothing about these cars resting in another country. Would be interesting if one of them found out and wanted to pursue it.

Not necessarily. Aside from the obvious act of making sure that the person consigning the car
    had current ownership papers.

In fact if a claim did arise down the line, the auction house could be one of the parties held accountable, even though they would seek to indemnify themselves.

Roby waited for +/- 5 years before being authorized by a bailiff documentation, as nobody claim for testament, nor the english man's legal notary demonstrated there is family member around.

You mean you think he didn't pursue the potential heirs diligently and with a sense of purpose?

    No, a Lamborghini color.

Here is a P400S that is Bleu Spettrale, one of 4 P400S thus liveried.

Awesome, that's actually one of my favorite shades of blue metallic! And the naturale is "natural" or light tan leather? Hey, I might have lucked out on this one (knock on wood)

Yes Naturale is as you describe.

Here is a metallic blue/light tan restored Espada. Whilst not exactly "Bleu Spettrale" it gives you the overall idea. A stunning livery.
