I'm sure it wasn't you, the bloke was young and handsome!

330's have Girling brakes, same as Jags of the period. They have relatively small pads and feel very "wooden". They also don't stop very well.

Changing to modern pad material helps a bit, but the best solution is to fit AP calipers, they have a 4 pot caliper which bolts straight on. Rod M's Lusso has this mod, done when Kerry M owned it.

Also, consider buying a 365GT 2+2. They have ATE brakes, close to a Daytona in spec, so the car stops well.

if they bolt straight on then there would be know harm if and when you moved it on.
I know of a GTC330 with Volvo calipers and it brakes very well.

I would suggest its all that worrying about the front number plate on the Porker that's given you a headache Bobby. :p

Lack of water will do it to you. That's why most people end up with a heavy head after Red wine as it soaks up all the moisture in the body. Drink plenty of water and you should be right. I've been using those Nurofen Zavance tablets of late. Very good and a lot quicker than Panadol Rapid.

The Volvo brakes apparently work very well, they also widen the front track of the car so the front guards on the car need slight modification.

I think its just my low blood pressure and or the fact i've taken myself from 3 coffees a day to one.
I worry due to having had an aggressive cancer, which is one of the few Lymphomas that attacks the brain.

Reducing Coffee intake should actually improve your hydration as Coffee is a diuretic.

If you are truely concerned go to your specialist to get peace of mind mate.

lots of factors involved with regulating blood pressure and treating low blood pressure not as simple as just rehydrating. To attribute it as a cause for your headaches IMO is a diagnosis of exclusion ie need to exclude other causes first. If it doesn't settle down, just get an MRI so as to exclude the obvious. I'm happy to assist as per previous post, otherwise ask the boys at Peter Mac to organise one

I can suggest if you go to the F1 section of F-Chat that might help with raising your blood pressure. :p

The MRI practice is on land originally settled by John Macarthur and the locals have been fighting hard to keep the muslims/mosques out, so you'd fit right in :)

how long ago did you give up the coffee?

i read up on reducing coffee intake a long time ago...apparently if you don't reduce it gradually (ie going from a few cups to nothing per day overnight) it causes headaches?

    may be worth looking up

I'm 90% sure Volvo use ATE brakes, so all you're doing is upgrading to the later Ferrari equipment. However, ATE calipers are unlikely to match the Girling mounting on the upright.

Changing the caliper does not change the track.

Changing the upright does, so perhaps the conversion you're talking about requires a volvo upright too?

Remember that 330 2+2's have a kingpin front end, so this is not a straight forward change.

I,m late on this but have to put my .02c in.
My 330 S1 has Dunlop brakes all round, they were crap on the FNR in Sept,
I had a problem with the rear bearings as well,Marc in Qld solved both problems,
the brakes are now great after a kit and PROPER bleed(very important).
I,m guessing the car you,re looking at is the CTS one??
