I'm sure it's not the best 612 in the world, and it certainly looks like it could use a detail, but yes, I'd say someone got lucky at that price.

The mileage wouldn't concern me, but the lack of a service history would-- but at that price, do a major service and hit the road.

Really?! Sure it's alota car for the money but a '05 612 w/35K on the clock won't do much better unless the buyer is out of touch with the market.

I have a 612 that has a Power warranty. In the past 2 months the dealer has put in over $15K in parts under the warranty. I just got quoted $2600 for a EV1 hose that is not covered under the warranty. There are 8 other similar hoses associated with the F1 system and at the same cost. This does not include labor, just parts, and not other things that have been done in the past 2 years. All of this on a fairly low mileage car. 85K may seem like a bargain today, but I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Know the history, and make sure there is an extended warranty on any Ferrari.

Ferrari has dealer meetings today, one of the topics is a preview of the new 612 features. Also to discuss brand strategy for upcomming products and timeline.

    :) cant wait.

I and several others on the list have had no problems whatsoever with our 612s so I dont believe this is very common.

I guess it is a matter of perspective - a 350k car after two years the 15k in parts is not what 612 owners are worried about ... the POS remark, feel free to post pics of your ride :)
