Photos are now up at http://www.flickr.com/photos/carguy98photos/sets/72157624161178970/ Thanks to everyone who came today!! Bob, did any cars show up after my dad and I left? --Grant
Nice pics as usual!! Sorry we didn't have a chance to chat...lots of new faces to meet today. Unfortunately, I had to leave shortly after you did - Doug said he was still expecting a couple vintage Ferraris, but we'll have to wait to hear from him on that...paging the Poster Boy...
Thanks! Yeah, he told me he was still expecting the 275 to come and the Lusso... hopefully Doug can fill us in... Also, on another note, my dad and I won't be able to make it to next week's event... so hopefully someone will take pictures! --Grant
Grant- After you left we had a db7 volante stop by, and we had a Ferrari 275 and 456 and the invisible Merak join us for the drive. Jon got some video from the passenger seat....not sure yet how it came out.
Another meet-up this weekend - June 1st. (I know we just had one but that was a special 5th saturday memorial day meet). Back to the 1st and 3rd Saturday schedule
Turnout was a little light - think the iffy weather scared people away. We did have a pretty strong Lotus/Caterham 7 turnout...a couple Esprits, a couple Caterham 7s (one a CSR260), and a couple Exiges...and a few other things...good coffee and conversation also! Bob
Sounds like a pretty nice event for the weather! Were any Caterhams there silver or yellow? Because I passed out some flyers at last week's Solon car show and I left a flyer on a yellow one and a silver one... Also, did anyone take pics? --Grant
I took a few. Also, the two Caterhams there were indeed yellow and silver. The photo below shows most of what was there. The other Caterham and a red Elise showed up later on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'll post the couple of pics that I took early next week. I'll be out of town for a few days. The lotus guys were cool. I hope to see them at a few more. I'm going to try to get the Ducati boys out a bit more for the next one.
The annual Stan Hywet Father's Day extravaganza...details at stanhywet.org and click on the events tab 350 cars (by invitation only), full CCA judging, etc...usually attracts some pretty serious hardware. 2010 is the "Year of the Lincoln". My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail... Bob
Yeah, this show is incredible... I went for the first time last year and there were some amazing things there.
We can have our own Lincoln show in the parking lot....I'll trailer your town car down with my navigator....then they'll think your car is significant.
Left a few C&C flyers at the Mayfield show and a few Solon shows recently, so I'm hoping we'll get some more people coming this Saturday! --Grant
BTW, according to Fox 8 News (fox8.com), Saturday is supposed to be mostly cloudy, high - 90, low - 70, 30% chance of precipitation... A little hot, but sounds like good C&C weather! --Grant
Second that - weather.com shows 30% chance of precipitation, but we all know thunderstorms are usually in the afternoon so Saturday morning should be fantastic.
I will be coming down with my S/C Denali and Boat if the weather holds up and stays nice for the day.
Some nice cars showed up today! Photos are now up at http://www.flickr.com/photos/carguy98photos/sets/72157624310611002/ --Grant
Looks like a nice turn out. I pulled up with my Denali and boat but there wasn't enough room to park so I just left. I saw that saleen mustang fly by my house in Chagrin Falls at about 6:45am. It sounded great!
