Lambo's and other exotics are not driven that often. I have had Range Rovers that this system been a huge problem. You want future maintenance problems to go away?

The Range Rover I had out of warranty cost was 12,000. Sold it to the dealer! Wait til the Ferrari unit goes out of warranty - my guess is 24,000

I ordered this system for my 458 June production in Texas.... dealer says no delay but since this is May production status showing is 10 (yet to start).
My 997 Turbo Cab hits ramps all over town....my buddies Gallardo has this system and it is very practical to raise the car up on ramps....

Although I haven't seen one with it, it's an available option in Korea.

    Yet another mystery option!

I've ordered it too. My LP640 has a lifter and i use it on every trip. The 458 isn't as low but the lifter makes every ramp possible.

I wonder why the AFS lighting is needed with it? Oh well, handy for nighttime rides...

I have been driving the 458 everyday for the last 1 week and have not found the need to have a lifter. I have been going over humps and car park ramps with no issues. The 458 is only 7mm lower than the 430.

I think it depends on where you live. In my building, the F430 barely, barely, BARELY makes it down the ramp into the garage. I put on skid plates because the underside was being scratched.

I would get the lift but it may not be necessary for everyone.

From what I've seen, the roads in some cities in the US are just plain horrible!

i saw a demo of the system on a 458 at my local dealer this week.
the activation is very fast, within around a second. the lift is defeated when the car travels faster than 5 mph.
i would definitely order this option, as i have had front scraping issues with my 430.
the only problem i see with it is that you have to remember to remember to depress the button before you hit the curb!

The button for the lift is on the center tunnel right next to the "open" button.

The claimed one second actuation time sounds unlikely too.
