It's either a sign from above you need a GTO in your garage or it's one hell of a 1/18 scale replica

 

T3D1 is the center console between the seats in red.

 

Is the VIN US Legal?

 

Hopefully I find out this morning. I will post a bit more information - thoughts?

That sheet really suggests its a very European spec car eg km speedo 'Destination Italia' 'GSX Europa' etc

 

The vin # is the only way to know for sure.

There is another 599 GTO being offered in this thread said to to US Legal.

 

I don't know of any US dealer who has received car 1 of their GTO allocation. If that is indeed the case it would seem impossible for anyone to have a US spec car at this time especially one coming from a foreign country.Only european cars are currently in the pipeline and being delivered. Have to believe that somebody is attempting to blow smoke up our skirts about the delivery of US spec GTO's that are still in the process of being scheduled to be built.

 

There is one in this thread that's a slot for a US car.

Here are 4 for sale in Germany including slots from a well know dealer.

Just don't think that selling your slot is the same as buying a currently built US spec GTO. I'm not saying its impossible for someone to currently own a new one. Just feel it is highly improbable given the circumstances. But as you have already stated, the VIN will tell the tale and settle all arguments both pro and con.

 

The Slot and this car are two different cars.

In Europe buying one isn't a problem and several are obviously for sale at no premium.

 

Have to believe the slide of the euro and concerns surrounding their individual economies are playing a mojor role in the availability of euro spec. cars. This could be a good sign for US buyers on waiting lists going forward. Possibly signaling an increase in future US allocations.

Unlikely to be a US legal VIN.

Sent a PM, after he clarified his post and have not had a response as of yet.

 

E-bay seller of the GTO just stated the car is sold - next!

 

Turns out the GTO i have is a euro spec & NOT US as i was told. And the other that was on ebay, i was offered that too and has been pushed around europe a lot. Weather it is real who knows, im pretty sure its not.
