    e60 525i Silver Gray, gets ~31-32mpg at 70 mph with the ac on, but it is slow as dirt! Not too crazy about the wheels but it has a pretty new set of Michelin Pilots on it and I am too cheap to buy new wheels/tires.

    I'd have to dig for pics or take new ones, but my daily in NJ is a 2006 Audi S4, and my daily down in the Cayman Islands is a 335i sedan.

    Here's my Chicago suburbs daily driver. It's a 2000 Porsche 996 C2. I throw my spare set of wheels on with snow tires at Thanksgiving and around Easter the summers go on.

    It also hauls my 10 year old and 8 year old who look for excuses for me to drive or pick them up from school!

    Thanks! It is lowered with ground control coil-overs. Not many other mods, i have a turbo e30 that is my toy car ;)

    Turbo'ed E30 is a classic toy.. :) Love 3-series Touring...

    Used to have both tourings and E30's before.. :)

    My daily drivers have been hit and miss

    1) Mercedes C180- had loads of issues with it
    2) Jaguar XJR- absolutely loved it, only problem was it didn't fit my job so I had to sell it but three years of pure fun
    3) Mercedes S500L- great car for my job (which involves loads of driving) and still going well. Done 190k miles in 4 years and has only had a few electric issues.

    New Car:

    Just about to purchase a BMW 740d M sport. I've had one for a week now (as a test from the garage) and I have loved it. A lot sportier than a S500 obviously, not as stable but it has all the technology.

    Three couples (my parents included) were in a GMC Yukon XL when a Firestone tire blew at 80mph on the Interstate... the truck's chassis was rigid enough that an inexperienced driver was able to control it to the hard shoulder, where the menfolk got out and changed the tire. My parents were so impressed, they bought a GMC Yukon of their own two months later - and fitted it with Michelins.

    They traded it in on a Ford F350 Dually so that they could tow a 5th-wheel trailer with it for their holidays, but they still miss the Yukon... it just didn't make sense having two really big truck-like vehicles at home, so it had to go.

    I love the Yukon XL. I also work the heck out of it hauling things inside and towing stuff. It's been a good truck, but last month had a little incident up in the mountains in Va that I could not fix beside the road when the Powertrain Control Module fried.

    It was a pleasant place to be stranded, however...

    That does look pleasant! :D

    I got to borrow the Yukon a couple of times when visiting home, and it was very nice to drive. I like the Ford F350 Dually as well, but the GMC Yukon had much better interior build quality and the steering felt more direct (far less woolly).

    I don't know how rugged they are compared to one another, as my parents have always liked having a lot of functional reserve in whatever task they set a working vehicle and neither has been taxed to the point of component failure. That said, the F350 managed to resist complete loss of tires on one side of the trailer a while back and we barely felt anything in the truck - we just happened to notice large bits of rubber flying around in the side mirror. Turns out that trailer tires are not as high quality as truck tires, so they were replaced with upgrades later on.

    Come to think of it, I've accumulated a lot of stories about tires in the last 10 years... hopefully I won't pick up any more. :eek:
