Definitely skeptical of the Magnum claim. I believe that all the Magnum cars have been accounted for and it should be relatively straight forward to check to see if this is indeed a Magnum car. I feel a Magnum car should command a substantial premium over a generic 308.

 

Tom, I agree with you and have requested the number to verify his claim. I also agree with you that if the car is a Magnum PI show car then the price is low.

Be VERY VERY careful with this guy, Don. Todd talks a good game but doesn't always deliver what he promises.

I have no experience with the car in question, but I do have experience with Todd and would never trust him with my $$$ again.

Call any other F-car mechanic in the area and they'll be able to give you more dirt if you don't believe me. Just walk away from this one.

Its an 84 Mondy coupe with *some* service records. Its been through quite a few owners recently though which might be an issue. Just figured Id post it so ya'll could take a look.

Its the right color, for sure.

I requested the chassis number to check his claim and Todd never got back with me. He has since sold the car.

 

Sigh..... some poor sap is probably telling all his friends that he has a car that was in Magnum PI.....sighing more.

 

But it would look better with the original black bumpers.

 

Don't kick yourself too hard. That seller took my money to do a PPI in his shop and ran away, never to be heard from again.

Funny to read his emails... claiming he's 1.5 hours from a shop. I wouldn't trust a single word from him.
