Why care about what others think? If you drive a Ferrari or any other exotic it usually means you had a goal and worked hard enough to achieve said goal. Sorry but I could care less about what others think of me for whatever reason. Life is short so make yourself happy.

Yes, I feel like ****** when I drive my Ferrari. However, my name is Richard. So I feel like ****** in any car that I drive. Dick is actually my alter ego. When I want to act like an ass, my name is Dick. Otherwise, it's Richard. But you can call me Rico!

My one grandmother had a great saying "If you knew how much time other people spend thinking about you, you wouldn't care about what other people think"

Drive your car and enjoy it. You like everyone else in here most likely earned it through your own effort so you deserve to do what you like.

    Drive On !!

Just out curiosity Martin, are you from the North or the South? The reason I ask is that the times myself and my friends (or recently neighbors) have traveled to Germany there seems to be a big difference in attitudes depending on geography. The folks in Bavaria were, without exception, friendly and cordial and very helpful to strangers who were polite. The opposite could be said (for the most part) of those from the North. Kinda like small town Southern Hospitality in the US south vs being in NYC.

Fortunately, I live in the D.C. area where it seems everyone has at least one collector car in their garage. Every weekend is like a car show around here, so if anything, I feel inadequate not owning a newer Ferrari than my 308.

When I feel like ****** I drive this. It cures the feeling because everyone responds so positively to it. However if someone else parks like ****** I can park within inches of their vehicle and crawl out of it. I always stay within my lines when doing it though.

Now I believe I might have heard the worst...

Really, it doesn't take a prick to drive a Ferrari... I can not imagine driving any where and taking a moment to judge the driver of the car going by, parked along side or fading fast in my rear view mirror by the automobile he/she drives, owns, covets or merely leases. It just doesn't matter.

Driving a Ferrari, or any car for that matter, is a function of utility or pleasure. I prefer the latter and so I have made a conscious choice to own and drive an automobile which fulfills my wants. Pity me that it happens to be a Ferrari or two. Some others might prefer an Alfa, a Bentley, a Healey, an Aston, a Honda, a Benz, etc. etc. etc.

Why would anyone care which car you drive and if they do...well its just their time to waste isn't it?

Sometimes I feel like a burger, or a beer.

But never ******. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not my bag, baby!

We have 2 red Ferrari's and a silver Maserati spider. My wife drives them all the time weather permitting. We never feel self concious driving any of our cars. I Also own a number of brass era cars including early Indy race cars. When you drive the type of cars we do you expect folks to look and chat, it goes with the territory.

I find that if you are sincere, and outgoing, and show an interest in their questions, they don't care if you are driving a Ferrari, or a 1912 Indy race car, they just want to talk cars. We are very clear to tell them our vintage Ferrari's are inexpensive and just a lot of fun to play with.

I always try and answer any and all questions no matter how many times I have heard the same question. We never talk down, or try to make anyone feel akward. I enjoy offering to give rides, that is a real ice breaker. I have given many a ride and as I left the smile on their face is priceless. One thing I never do is to answer the question what's it worth? I will tell them it is only worth what someone is willing to give on any given day.

I guess after 35 years of practice, Frankly Darling.....

But whenever someone admires it, I give them the opportunity to sit in it. Cheers people up. Plus my car is not that flashy, just pretty.

In my dark blue Dino, I certainly don't feel like ******. It's old and odd enough to get away with it.

In my now ex girlfriends bright yellow 328, I've always had that heeeeeeere's Johnny-feeling a bit. Too flashy for my taste.... Suited her well though ;)

As I crawl in my car, strap in and cinch up my harness, pull the choke, pump the accelerator 4 or 5 times and hit the ignition. Now how can I feel like ****** at such a spiritual moment? Now if someone else thinks I'm ******? They just would'nt understand, and that would be their problem and not mine. :)

I make 10x more than my twin brother, so i do feel a little guilty about owning a Ferrari when all of his cars are crap. The feeling passes as soon as the V12 fires up!!!!

    Sig potential. ;)

Although, cynic that I am, I'd drop "of you":

You care less what people think when you realize how rarely they do.

    Hmmm...must be a Wisconsin thing...

Most of the time when the testarossa is out...after reading these threads...I feel like not enough people are looking :).

Most folks just don't seem to care. Teens will sometimes look over their shoulder as I pass. But most of the time, somebody just typically slides into my "blind spot" and tails me for a bit...

The only folks that I truly think seem to notice the car are the police...
