After doing some research, the idea of someday owning a Ferrari is not as rediculous as I once thought. I love the look for the 355, or even the 348. My question is, will I even fit in one? I'm 6'3" 230lbs. I don't fit comfortably in many small sports cars. The Lotus Elise/Exige were actually comfortable, but I had a very hard time getting my legs over the door sil when I was getting out.

Depends on your leg length. I'm 6'1" and it works for my 348, but the SS seats would not be your thing. Expect to drive sort of slouching down a bit.

I guess I would say I have medium legs. not short, but not very long like some people my height. I dunno, I guess I have to find out.

You are probably very close to being just barely fitting in.

Best way to find out is to go test drive one :)

I am 6.2 and I fit just fine without the roof ( 348TS ), with the roof on I have to bend a little .... but it's a sport car after all. The situation improve a lot on the 360/430 ... if your budget can afford it no doubt you won't have this problem !

I'm 6'2" , 190 Ibs and have no issues. As others have pointed out its about torso vs leg length......go to your local used car dealer and sit in one.....thats the only way you will know. If not, try out a 360.

    Thank you for the responses.

It will be years before I can even consider a purchase, just starting the information gathering early.

If you get one of the ts/targa versions, and you have the top panel stowed behind the seats, you can't push the seat all the way back, which limits your legroom. I'm only 5'6", and I normally drive with only one click left on the track (less than an inch). If you push the seat all the way against the top, the screwheads on the rear panel of the seatback will dig into the painted surface of the top. So on the 348, the tb limits headroom, and the ts limits legroom. I haven't tried a Spider.

I think the better question is will you be comfortable.

I'm 6'5" and my height is in my torso and while I can fit into the car and drive it, I do not enjoy it as it is too confining.

If you won't be in the market for a few years then I'd start looking at 360's as there is more room in them. Besides, they may actually be more affordable than F355's by then :)

6'3 - 260 (linebacker type, big guy with a bit of a gut). Fit in a 348 spider with the roof up no problem. Of course I try not to keep the roof up much... :) Hardtop versions not really. (yes I fit, but not comfortably) And I can sit in a Lotus, but can't shift gears.

355 hardtop I fit a lot better, but still not great.

    Find several and see. :)

I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs and I fit in my 355, but not comfortably. Any more than 45 min and it is uncomfortable. Porsche has way more room.

Cameron--How big are your feet ? My E width makes the heel/toe thingy a little clumsy; or is that just operator error ??

6'5 and 215 fit fine in my 348 (dimensionally identical).

Getting the SS seats helped because they are lower so now my head does not touch the headliner any more with the targa top in.

    I have a 36" waist, fwiw.
