Is it going to become impossible to buy this car just because people buy it and chop it up? I haven't seen one for sale in a little while.

I thought you had one Tom.

I thought I saw in FML a motor advertised as being in a car. I was going to call but didn't want to be a time waster.

    Any pictures?

There are two in the current FML. One with longtime ownership. One is engineless.

I have one, in pieces, NOT A RUSTY/ROTTEN slug...NICE frame....

I was going to part it out, but way too busy...
    In a barn in MA.
    Climate controlled....
I am travelling FREQUENTLY(Internationally mostly...), so,
PM me, and I will respond as is convenient...
I will be on the Continent in 2nd week of July, and East Coast USA nextweek...
I likely can't really deal with this issue intill post Monterey, as I have some racing cars going this year...

If you can wait until the fall, I'm always interested in "culling the herd"...

One of the first Classic Ferrari's that I wrenched on was a GTE,Prior to this my passion was mainly British cars.I owned a Mark 1 Lotus Cortina, and worked on mainly Limey cars,Lotus's,Austin Healys,Jags,Etc Etc.I had no respect for Italian cars mainly due to the fact that my only exposure to them was mainly Sh-tbox fiats from the 1970's(X-19,131,850)We would go to venues like Montery and see and laugh at the rich jerkoffs with their trophy girlfriend, belt mounted purses,Gold Ferrari chain, and satin shorts.Ha-HaHa.Many years later I got a job Restoring/Repairing Ferrari's.one of the first cars I worked on was a 250 GTE.After I repaired it,I was told to put some miles on it.OH MY GOD! what a *****en car that was!It was'nt as pretty as an E-type jag,not even a 308 ferrari but what a great driving car.It not only had looks matching any Aston Martin of the period,it had an engine that sounded like an F-1.I then worked on numerous other very high dollar Ferrari's.I got the privelige to work on an original PF coupe. As with the original GTE I worked on,I was blown away at what a great car this was. Both of these cars were in original condition and had been used hard.Kinda like the 69 Camaro I bought in 1980,Rode hard and put away wet.In the years since I have worked on many Ferrari's worth many millions of dollars. None have impressed me more than those two old ,high mileage cars.Turning them into fakes is a crime. Tim

    Tom,
What does a complete 250 GTE robbed of its running gear run at these days and are there any around? I remember you had a couple 5 years ago that seemed reasonable but deal fell apart.

    Hey Tom,

How many guillotined cars are you up to now, 70?

You probably paid the amount you sold it for one ebay, got your initial investment back plus a quick $50,000 for the drivetrain!

Don't know if anyone who wanted one of these would have bought this one though.

The pride of a one man wrecking crew.

    Cheers,

    Yale
