    I'm new to the Ferrari club and have a question...did the 348 come with the ferrari horse side badges? If so what year did they start on the 348, was it an option? I've seen pics with cars that have it and cars that dont. Appreciate the help. Just bought 90 348TS and no badge...not a big deal but curious.

    I think the 348 "GT Competizione" model was the only version that came from the factory with the Scuderia shields on the front fenders. Generally speaking the shields were added by the dealer or the owner.

    Congratulations on your purchase! Please post some good pics when you can and about the side badges, if you can, buy a set of metal ones from Yoshi, they go for around $300 with Fchatter discount.... surely expensive, but marvelous.

    Congrats!

    Miltonian -- so some of the shields were actually dealer installed? I did not know that. Did they actually recess them into the fenders or are they stuck on with adhesive?

    Dave, congrats on your purchase! I'm in your area, and there are a few other f-car owners around Frisco/McKinney/Plano, etc that get together every now and then. Send me a PM if you're interested in meeting up. We also have a fairly active FCA group in DFW. All great people.

    There have also been a few threads on here about the fender shields. I'm happy to help if you want more info. I have an aftermarket set on mine and they look great (IMHO).

    Mine are magnetic and look great. Better than adhesive ones, IMHO.
    I bought them from a USA supplier.
