Hi everyone im going to be putting a sports exhaust on my 1991 348ts very shortly i was just wondering what everyone's preference of sports exhaust would be?..

Ive heard very good things about Nouvalari but not sure whether to go for the sport or super sport?

I'm running the Nouvalari Sport on my spider and absolutely love it. It's a "tamer" version (not as loud as the Supersport), but still a significant boost in throttle response. Depending on where you live, the Supersport may not pass emissions inspection. If this had not been a consideration for me (Texas), I would have gone with the Supersport.

I live in th UK..So i think a supersport would be fine..

Is the sport alot louder than a stock exhaust? and is the supersport full on loud all the time?

I want something thats not too much louder than stock at idle but burst in to life as i move through the gears and rpm's in to a nice howl..Would a sport be fine or would a supersport be better?

Check out this thread. It has a ton of information (and sound clips) on the Nouvalari options...

You might also run a search on YouTube for "Ferrari 348 exhaust", to compare the various sounds. I've seen a few videos out there of the Gothspeed exhaust that Bruce mentioned above. I came very close to ordering one from Goth before I bought the Nouvalari.

Just finished a Supersport install on my 348ss and it also has Hi-flow cats. the sound is the balls. It is a tad bit loud but the sound is quite nice in my book.
Talk to Glen at Nouvalari, he is a good guy and will hell you with the setup.

Also the stock muffler was showing a little below the rear bumper. The new pipe does not 'hang' below the bumper and it has a much cleaner look.

Yeah i dont think i want it quite that loud.Perhaps if i fit the supersport but keep the original cats it wont be too loud. How much would keeping the oringinal cats reduce the sound by?

The sport im not sure if it will sound much different than an stock? so supersport is what im thinking

And there's a [not-so-good] reason why those old cats limit sound coming out of the engine (and performance too)... :)

You'll be much happier with the boost you get out of replacing those dreaded old ceramic cats. Regardless, if your car has the factory dual-can-style exhaust like my first 348 did ('90 TS), I think you will notice a big difference in sound with just the Sport level pipe with the stock cats. There were several guys that purchased the Sport exhaust (replacing the dual-can setup) as part of the group buy back in January, and I believe they were all very pleased. Hopefully, one of them will jump in here and testify...

On my '94 spider, until I installed the new free-flow cats, the Sport exhaust wasn't a lot louder than the OEM single-can exhaust (which is noticably louder than the older dual-can version, BTW). At idle standing behind the car, the sound was deeper but subtle. At high RPM it was much more noticable. Installing the new cats made a huge difference, but is still not over-powering outside or inside the car. Man, it flat-out howls at high RPM under bridges and in tunnels. I typically downshift a gear or two going into those, just so I can hear it scream! I love it! :D

I put the super sport on my 348TS 2 weeks ago. I am still running the stock cats. It sounds and looks amazing. I believe it is the best value for the money. I have heard and seen the tubi and in my opinion it is not any better. I also believe that I picked up a few hp as well. :)

Check out Capristo. They sound great on 355's at least. Kinda pricey, but well built.

Goth started with the 348 version as a test bed for the 355 since our systems are SOOOO much less complex! ;)
