Does anyone collect risen 1:18 Ferraris like MG Models and BBR? This past weekend I received my MG 512BBLM and it's absolutely drop dead gorgeous... This makes #6 MG Ferraris in my collection.... Enjoy!

    That is spectacular!!

I have been in search of a 1:12 (preferred) or 1:18 575 M for a few years now and they all seem to be GTC models out there? Other than hiring out for a custom build anyone have a favorite site that they know provides this model? Any material...

    Thanks!

I paid $500 for it.... I know... it's a high price tag but I had to have it for the collection and besides MG Models only made 50 of them. I will post some more pictures of it soon.

Considering the quality and the rarity, $500 seems extremely reasonable. Well done.

Really, for being a handbuilt, limited edition run, I don't think $500 is too bad at all. Well bought at $500, I think, too.

4 figures is very optimistic. If its the MG build you might get $500.

You should post some pics of it... It seems that MG model Plus Ferraris hold their value better than some of the other resin manufactures... The quality is just top notch!

Quality keeps value, and limited numbers are also attributing, but they are NOT rare yet....
In 1:12 the out of production kits are slightly going up, but they are not going tobe worth 1000's yet, that will take another few decades.. (would be nice tough...)

It has more to do with them being rare. The quality is not that great or accurate. The 512 on the top of this thread has nice paint and decals but looks like it is riding on 24/28 inch rims.
On the MG 1/12th kits I have the engines and details are very poorly done. You can get more detail on a 1/24th or 1/20th Hiro kit that are 1/4th the size.

I collect 1/18 Ferrari resin models by Versus and APM .. Similar to MG Models, their quality is just amazing. Versus is the more expensive of the two. I paid over $1000 USD for a Koenig Ferrari Competition made by Versus, and from APM I have a 599XX, and Enzo concept, and I'm waiting delivery of an F430 GT3 and Koenig 512BBi.

I envy you guys. You can drop in $500 - $1000 easily on 1 model whereas I only can dream of having MG's, APM, BBR, MR, and Versus to my collection. I only can afford AutoArt models.
You guys must be making at least $5000 a week to acquire what you got. Not only models from these brands are hard to get, but they are uber expensive.
Man, I wish I have rich grandparents.

    I have 2 modelworkshop 1:12 Ferrari's. The red F50GT and the yellow 288GTO.
Modelworkshop, Versus and APM are made by the same builders.

    F50GT is my favourite!

I believe ModelWorkShop and APM are made by the same builders. Versus is made by different builders in Japan.
At one time, APM used to be the distributor for Versus models but not anymore. They used to share resin kits between them and worked closely together.
You can tell by the quality of work that they are different as well.
I have yet to acquire a F50 GT, but will sometime soon in 1/18. It is also my favourite model.

My model No. 1 - it's 1/18 Ferrari 550 Maranello GT from MG Model Plus, winner of GT1 class in FIA GT Championship 2003, team BMS (Italy), drivers Thomas Biagi and Matteo Bobbi.
I bought it as a kit and I gave it to a professional modeller for building.

    You are wrong...

APM and ModelWorkShop are same group of modelers.

    But Versus is not......
