Being a Barrichello fan I would like to say this. This version of Schumy appears VERY different than the last go around.

I never liked him because I thought RB got shafted on many occassions because of Schumy. No sour grapes, just the way it was and RB knew what he was getting into, but as a FAN of Rubens MS pissed me off as did the team on many occassions.

I must say I am getting a serious chuckle out of watching MS getting mopped up by his younger and less experienced teammate, and I would wager with as well as RB is doing right now, if they were in the same car it would be fun to watch RB do the same.

Schumy deserves his ability to "team form" and his championship accolades, but I am smiling everytime I see him failing to catch and pass RB on track. Just due I would say!

I do give MS credit for admitting it is him and not using some other excuse, so again credit to him and I look forward to Rosberg kicking his ass the rest of the way LOL

I'm a Rubinho fan too but maybe it's the "chassis" (straight out of the Vettel racing driver excuse manual :D )

Rubbish. The guy is a racing driver, they're all hungry. Especially if they're as wealthy as schumacher, if they weren't really hungry anymore they could just rent/buy a track and run their F1 car on it if they want to go fast once in a while. The guy returned because he wants to win races again.

Being a billionaire with endless past accolades in your industry does tend to stifle hunger a bit...

But I think Michael's competitiveness combined with his input being transferred to next year's car will catch up to Nico. If he can't beat Nico by the end of his contract and espeically if MB isn't moving up the ladder, time to become an announcer I guess.....

Agreed. Michael is not used to the current cars and didn't develop them. With massive testing budgets, he could work harder than anyone else until he became the best. I think this should still be possible, but there's a greedy little troll that likes it banned....

MS is still great. He'll get better. 3 yrs off is a long time, and I think the age difference is overrated. If he's not competitive next year I'll start to give up on him, but halfway through this season is too early for me.

MS will do well. Definitely not this season, but i reckon next season. It's quite clear he's struggling to adapt to the tyres, and the testing ban isn't helping him either.

Having said that, assuming he has a miserable season like this next year, then IMHO, he should call it a day.

I've always admired MS' ability to measure his words, unlike some drivers who seem on the verge of wetting the bed whenever they cock up a race.
