7/17/10 Keeneland Concours d'Elegance

I'm planning to go Saturday. Is there a group leaving from Louisville to cruise over together?

 

I am tempted to try to do a boomerang on Saturday to go check out the 250 gto. Never seen one before.

Its about 7 hours from detroit. Anybody want to drive with me? I can fit 3 others in the WRX. It will be a looong day, leaving really early, and coming back late, but I think it would be fun and adventurous.

Isaac? James? Mo? Anybody?

 

I'm tempted too, but already committed to seeing Iron Maiden on Saturday at DTE... which would mean leaving there by 12pm... hmm... still tempted...

 

Porsche club is meeting at DQ on Hurstbourne at 10:15 and leaving at 10:30.

I will be there in a silver Lotus Esprit V8 and I thought about bring my 308 GTB as well. It is a great show and with Ferrari as the feature marque this it should be really good!

I plan on going, maybe I can hop in line with the Porsche guys as they they go through Shelbyville.

 

Myself & a couple friends are leaving from Shelbyville at about 8:30 Saturday. You're welcome to join us if you'd like.

 

I think we are staying on 64 until Frankfort and then taking the back roads. Call Jim or I and we could probably let you know when we are passing Shelbyville and you can wait at the ramp.

Were is there a car wash to spray the car off on the way from the Hyatt (if it's not raining!)? Saw a couple other Ferraris and an AC Cobra (replica?) over at the Crowne Plaza. Belong to anyone on here?

Nashville? That would certainly explain why I haven't seen him in a while...

 

i did not arrive until 12 noon. rain was gone and the crowd was in force. took the first Ferrari that would start a 400i. parked on the right of drive way for 2 hrs. then my back started telling me now unhappy it was.

 

How was the show? anybody happen to take a camera with them?

Many nice Ferraris and everything else. Yellow Enzo,F50,612,430's,355,250's....lots of good stuff.Really nice.R8 convertible.I dont know where to start.Good time.Met a couple of guys from here briefly.Very good day.

May not be everyones thing, but several nice wooden racing boats with interesting powerplants and beautiful wood.Wood was good!

Spent the day in bed with a girl I just met, or else I would have been there. Looks like it was good!

 

Great pictures. Funny but I shot almost the exact same cars plus this 430 in the paddocks. I don't know who owns it but it's lovely.

Oh man, I really wish I could have gone. Lots of great exotics - a BMW M1, Ferrari F50! Love it.
