Hi guys, I'm getting married next saterday! And no sorry, not in my Ferrari, but I'll be driving my 1968 Type 34 Karmann Ghia. Anyhow, on thursday we're off to Hawaii (where else) for our honeymoon! To see the land of Thomas Magnum. So if there are any Fchatters out there... We'd be glad to meet up, always more interesting to meet locals. Many thx! Kind regards from Belgium! Great Time with Kris and Evalyn (sp?) Such a beautiful couple and really nice to hang out with these guys today. We took a small jaunt out to the Magnum estate from Waikiki. He, Magnum, wasnt available, must have been out solving some mystery or getting some beard wax or something. Weather was/is beautiful and our couple of hours together was over in a flash. If any of you guys have time to share over the next week or so maybe you can get lucky and connect through here. They are on Oahu until Tues and then Maui Kanapali area, then the big island near the volcano park. Pirates of the Carribean set near blowhole is really something to see if any of you guys are cruzing south. Here they are, Kris will post some more I am sure when they get settled back home in a couple of weeks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Took my girl there for Valentine's Day a few months back. Glad to see you guys had a great time, too!
I honeymooned in Waikiki with the Wife last year. We LOVED it also! Fantastic and will have to visit there again one day. Congrats on the wedding and I wish you both a long and happy marriage.
hello folks! We just arrived on the Big Island of Hawaii, and we absolutely love this trip! We have been very very fortunate to have met two wonderfull people on our trip. First we met Kevin with his cool VW van. He took us out to Waimanolo to see the Magnum Estate. We didn`t see the house, but the trip getting there was so great! Unfortunately Kevin had to work, so it was very brief. I`m sure we`ll meet again Kev! On Sunday we met our other Fchat friend Larry Thompson. Again a very very great meeting. We made it an entire day, and it was so great, we went to see lots of places of interest, and also Larry`s shop! It`s a small shop but boy o boy, that`s an interesting place to see. And Larry, I think your Alfa Romeo is the worst AND coolest car I ever saw! Friends, I will post pictures as soon as we get back to Belgium. Kevin and Larry, many thanks for the hospitality. It`s been an exceptional encounter, I will send you emails when we get back. And please go see each other, you have lots to talk about. Now, I have some volcano to climb! Thata Kris
Kris and Evelyn I see that you were able to get connected to the internet on the Big Island. There has been some increased activity at the volcano during the past week. I hope that you can get to an area that will allow you to see some of the lava flows. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting both of you. It was a fun day that that went by much too quickly. Aloha Larry
Well folks, we are back in Belgium! We had a great honeymoon in Hawaii and we also met two F-chatters, Kevin and Larry, both on Oahu. And I must say, they are the nicest of people. Eventhough our meeting with Kevin was very short, we headed off immediately. And also our day with Larry was fantastic! Larry ownes a shop in Honolulu and he was happy to show us around. He also has a very interesting carcollection. Pay Larry a visite when you are in his neighborhood! We felt great meeting these people and I guess that's what f-chat is all about, right? I regret not living any nearer to these guys. The trip on itself was great too. We didn't like the Big Island as much as Maui or Oahu. We only stayed for two nights in Maui and that is too short. It's funny how these islands look and feel very different! Eventhough they are next to each other. On our way back we also went to NYC, which was nice (and hot), but again very different to our Hawaiian experience. I personally liked Oahu (Waikiki) the best. I also saw the Ferrari store. It's funny to see a F1 car with no engine... Very pricy, so didin't buy anything. Here are some pictures, again thanks Larry and Kevin. - Kris - Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Previously you saw 1. Kevin and my wife at the Magnum Estate gate. 2. Kevin's mint VW bus, which he should swap with a mint 308! 3. Me and Larry near the Punch Bowl in Honolulu 4. Me at the Ferrari store 5. Larry's daily driven swiss cheese Alfa Romeo GTV Image Unavailable, Please Login

Kris Thanks for the post and the pictures. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and Evelyn. I enjoyed the day very much. It is interesting to be able to get a view of "home" through other eyes. Kevin I would like to meet in person. Whenever the time is right, the invitation is open and the welcome mat is out. Aloha Larry
