yes fake...but dont expect the genuine ones to have a much better movement though...
if its cheap enough then for an everyday throw around watch I suppose it's not to bad

    Hello,

I'm thinking of buying this Ferrari watch on a 2nd hand site, but I don't know if this really is an official Ferrari-made watch. He claims it was sold in a special Ferrari-made enginebox. Did Ferrari ever produced this type?

He asks 300 euro for it.

    Please help me out here,

    Many thanx,

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I do recall that Ferrari did make a watch that came in that exact case. As I recall, it is the F430 engine.

I know I have a replica that looks exactly like that one, minus the F430 airbox thing. Regardless I love the watch and it works great

I only payed about $100 as the seller didn't sell it off as an original

This looks like a genuine Ferrari "Pit Crew" watch. It might be worth checking the Ferrari web site as it may be cheaper there. also they come up on Ebay as well.

I agree, I am almost certain this is the pit crew watch and it looks genuine as comes with papers.

However Ferrari Store sell a watch quite similar for 295 euros, maybe that would be wiser as you are buying it directly from Ferrari and is 5 euros cheaper!

I have a Ferrari limited edition watch from the Ferrari store and it runs beautifully.

I have one of those watches and love it, it is indeed a "pit crew" watch. That particular style w/ the black face sold out fairly quickly on the website (one weekend, if i remember right). They originally sold for right around $300, but resales did pop up on ebay for twice that amount briefly.

the only thing with mine is that the rubber strap is cracking slightly.

It is a genuine Ferrari Pit Crew Watch, as others have mentioned. My wife got me the same exact watch for my Birthday. It's my default daily watch. Great quality and very affordable for what you get. ferrari store sells different versions the these affordable watches (a few hundred bucks).

I bought two back when they first came out. One for me and one as a potential gift.

It never got gifted so it has been sitting in a corner in my livingroom untouched for about 3 years now.

It's a great watch! I bought mine about 3-4 years ago from Ferrari Stores Website. Mine came with an 8x10 glossy pic of Massa on the podium. I would only wear it when I went to events until I went to work at the Ferrari Store in San Francisco. I wore it almost everyday at work for around September last year until May of this year. Still ticks. I will be wearing it again soon. Right now I have it put away as I don't work there anymore. I do want to new Carbon Fiber face watch though. I need a decent casual watch.

    Hi Badrix,

It is indeed a genuine one. The first series were delivered in black, red and yellow dial.

If you want to collect more, you can buy my yellow one.

    Bye

    Are you sure?

It's an automatic wind....my Cartier chrono is a battery powered unit.

The three dials also have metal inset bezels.........there were many variations, so I am really not certain.

The hex shaped operating knobs do look correct, to my eye.
