Outstanding, with the exception of the crunching gears, the sound was incredible!

Those guys have some serious brass cajones to run that fast in the mountains during the winter.

I think that was the external shift gate, not crunching gears.

Great sound, but that was a pretty leisurely run -- he was getting off the power way long before the corners and doing a lot of coasting.
(But then an SWB doesn't exactly have four pot Brembos.) (And the gearing was a tad off for some of those corners.)

That was so cool I just shot a load. For you guys saying you would have gone faster, you obviously don't own a 250SWB. I mean, do you really want to go THAT fast in snowy conditions and risk wadding it up....seriously. Just sayin'! LOL :D

That is a great run and I have to agree, running like that on wet roads in the winter is crazy. Gotta love a small bore V12.

I couldn't tell if those white patches were snow or the sun glinting off ice. The corner workers/observers sure looked cold. My butt puckered at the entry of every one of those corners with snow/ice present, but he didn't seem to slip around too much.

Well, if you're there to win, ... ;)

And isn't that the history? I think the SWB might have been the first Ferrari GT to come with disc brakes. The ability to push deeper into corners has a big impact on stage (or lap) times, so Enzo was forced to adapt to the times (pun intended).

    That's rallying. :D

(Watch how it dives deep into the corners. Especially at 6:01.)
(An S4 doesn't sound as sweet, but then you can't toast marshmellows on an SWB's exhaust. :p)

It must take a special kind of person to sit in the passenger seat on a run like that.

Sure does. That's the guy cluing the driver in on the coming corners.

I thought only the cars with the transmission mounted in the rear had external shift gates. The 250 should have a nice leather boot and the shifter drops right into the top of the tranny, no?

The TR and GTO have the external gate.
I can't speak for the SWB as I haven't (yet) had an "up close and personal" with one.
