Ok, took the car for a spirited 200 mile run today. Up Mt Hamilton, very warm throughout the afternoon, probably triple temperatures. Up and down, tons of curves. Came home and the ABS light illuminated. Any thoughts? Kai
Add'l info: No other lights illuminated. Brakes feel fine. What's the error that's usually associated with the ABS light? Kai
Kai you should come by our shop sometime! Start with the diagnostic fuse. Probably a wheel speed sensor. PM sent.
Well, I am using the ABS light as an excuse to get new rotors... There was a noticable lip on the front rotors, indicating that they are getting thin in the middle. Here's what I got: Gyrodiscs for the front, Bradi rotors for the rear. Now this would be a good Stooge project... Oh yes, I will use Axxis XBG Metal Master Brake Pads. Let us know what you think of the new rotors...I want to do mine when it's time using the same parts as you did. I would have bought them already but my car is getting a major right now, I bought new seats for the, free flow cats, a lip spoiler. All these things combined are going to eat a big part of my wallet so brakes will be down the road a bit...but do tell us what you think.
Will do. My major is due in about 1.5 years so I thought I better spend money now!!! I will reinforce and paint my front bumper (already has cracks) and repaint the rear plus additional TLC on the engine bay. Kai
