I went to put on new carbon fiber F1 paddle shifters and found that the upper screw hole for the "Up" shift lever is stripped (not sure if I did or if it was like that already). It looks like it's putting extra stress on the lower screw. Any suggestions on how to fix? Larger screw? Would a body shop be able to properly correct or a mechanic? Suggestions?

Can you borrow a right angle drill to drill it out and tap a larger thread in it?? :D:D

Or drill it out and heli-coil it back to the correct size. :):)

Or have a mechanic do the above work for you. :):)

Thats what I would do. ;)

Might be necessary to remove the wheels to allow access.
