Just bring whatever you want to drink that isn't water, iced tea, Dr. Pepper or Coke. I might have an Amstel or two in the fridge.
Tomorrow's the big day. Don't forget any last minute things: Distilled water for diluting your coolant; headware; swim suit (no skinny dipping in my pool); floaties in case you can't swim; tarps if you have any extra (I have a couple); minor tools (wrenches and maybe your fav socket set); sunscreen; eye protection (don't be a whiner, just bring it); work gloves. I have hand cleaner. I have beach towels. Drinks, but not alot of beer. The menu has been planned - in FBB's case, a couple of roasters skewered over the firepit. Bring tin foil if you can.
So, we need tin foil hats at your place? How about raincoats to keep the flying chicken parts and sauce off our clothes while FBB eats?
Hey a special "thanks" should go out to our sponcer "Ricambi" who supplied free oil change kits to you guys!
So how late do you guys think this thing will go? I'll be leaving at around 2pm to come over, so don't eat all the food billybob, leave some for me lardass.
I'm going to try and get over a little later today, but if I miss out I hope you guys have a blast. Big thanks to Rick who came over last night to help me get the bumpers, etc. put back on my car, and Bruce who walked me through figuring out what the heck was wrong with my shifter. At midnight I finished up and I was able to take my "victory" lap around the block with a fully functioning car, lol.
OMG, everyone just left at 9PM. I'm burned out. Was a terrific day or Stooging. Look for more posts and pix. Thanks everyone and especially my wife who came across with some incredible eats. It was an incredible day and full of typical Stooge drama and highjinks. In attendence: Jeff darkangel, 348 Spider Jeff jm348, 355 Spider Plugz, 348 TS FBB, 550 (I know, I know) Ernie, wife's BMW Z4 - hey the cholo wagon doesn't run! Rick Sandy Eggo 355 GTS 2.7 Eric 3forty8 348 TS Gothspeed 355 Spider Honorary Stooge Ed F360 Me, 348 TS SS All leaking oil in my driveway!!! Well, not Ed and FBB. Ricambi and Daniel are the best is all I can say. Thanks all.
Made it home in one piece...didn't need to add any brake fluid but definitely leaked on the way back. Most of it just sorta splattered onto the top side of the diffuser tray but I did give the bumper and wheel a once over just in case there was any fluid on the paint. Thanks 3forty8 for being a good samaritan and following me home. More tomorrow... PS No Ernie, I don't work at Legoland.
Good to hear Rick! Hey, the annual maintenance program is off to a great start - not one driver stranded, and not one car wound up in Vince's pool! Very cool to put some faces to names and meet up with guys I don't get to see often; a special thanks to Vince for hosting - my new brake pads were completely bedded by the time I got to the bottom of your driveway, lol! #2 should read, "Rick about to f-up his brakes". Thanks for hosting Vince and putting up with all of our nonsense, BP fluid-spills, and driving your wife crazy (I assume).
Good times. Here are some more pics. Top 2 pics are Jeff (darkangel) looking in on Vince (vvassallo) trying to remove the gear oil dip stick. Or maybe that's 2 dipsticks try to change the gear oil? The the bottom 2 pics are Jeff (jm348) changing the fluid for the convertible top hydraulics.
