I have seen several articles / info on the percentage of "what color / how many" other models are, but never the 308. I would love to know how many 308's were Yellow. Specifically a 1978, but others as well.
    Anyone?

    There were exactly 56 yellow 308's in 1978. 22 were GTB's

3 were dry sumped, 8 were Swiss-version with extra mufflers and the distinct smell of cheese....

Ferrari has never published or released official color statistics, which is why this information is not included in the Bluemel The Original Ferrari V8 book.

From time to time, individual owners have been able to collect some data. I was able to glean a little color data from Ferrari NA specific to my 308 GT4 and 328, but this was after three years of trying through different channels, including the media reps.

I've never actually seen a yellow 3x8 except for a few pics here. I haven't been to any really big "ferrari" meets but I have been to bunch of local meets - none there.

A yellow GTB was actually the FIRST Ferrrari I ever saw with my own eyes. It was a 77 model way back in the spring of 1981.

To this day I think a yellow/black GTB is about as pretty a car as there ever was

Although I do like my Rosso Corsa, your Fly Yellow one does look cool.

Thanks Matt, It does look better in the flesh mate. ;) If you ever come to Oz make sure you touch base, you can see it in the flesh and go for and have a drive. :)

That offer of course is open to all my fellow 308 owners who ever come down under for a visit.

I've never been a fan of yellow on a car, but on a period 308 in the right hue (Giallo Fly) it looks absolutely stunning and exactly right.

Yellow on a ferrari goes way back to the earliest days - it's historically appropriate and really shows off the lines well. I'd take yellow on a 308 any day of the week.

Beautiful car - keep up the great pics!

Based on my experience at car shows and Ferrari events Id argue that white is one (if not the) rarest colors. I base this on the fact Im usually the only one there?
