Having mechanics is always a bonus! I believe Jon has experienced the 'EM pit-crew' at work in the paddock at Sepang during his previous track day in his 997 turbo! Adjust tyre pressure, check car, etc...
Looks like MClaren is setting up shop here! Just saw a job posting by MClaren looking for sales manager or something on Michaelpage! So MP,King and Lung getting it ? I wonder who else
Hahaha...i doubt it....i jz 'settled' some traffic offence last week, illegal U-turn at traffic light and got away with RM20 duit kopi....Hari Raya coming soon, so i think they'll jz whack anything tht they can get...I'm not sure with the RM100 thingy give out, will check with a friend since he's with JPJ...
You be in KL? I'm driving up Friday in the beng lunchbox.. Trackday Sat, watching Time Attack Sunday. Returning Sunday afternoon. Lets catch up if you are in KL.
Unfortunately corruption can never be gotten rid of and very few cops care for a promotion- they still rather get the cash in hand, and now at much higher levels... What happens now is that the police just make it much much clearer that if you dont pay the right amount to them direct they will "make life hard for you". They basically say things such as that they have to immediately take you to a police station, and need to report you to the Singapore embassy, ban your car from entering Malaysia for a number of months etc bla bla bla. You must not offer any money but instead ask whether it is possible to compound the offence and pay the fine immediately so as to minimise the need to go to the police station etc.... at the end of the day let them guide you....BUT note that the day of MYR50 coffee money is gone. You now have to come out with MYR300 (typically the same as paying the fine, only that you dont get a speeding record or the hassles of admin etc).
Hey, I'm actually back to Sg for Sat but since you're coming, I'll be a buddy & keep u company! Just sms me dude. I'm most likely getting a bentobox as well. The guys @ EM in KL are pretty good drivers too, some of them track very often & they have BALLS! They suggest that I should just get a track car for abt RM50-60K & keep it in their workshop area. The DC5s are easily doing low 2.30s with a good driver & these cars complete the 12hrs MME without fail but FWD & NA.
Yeah boy. Have so far tried both teams. The workshop space in Malaysia is smaller but they have just opened another branch few streets away with well over ten staffs. They'll do anything from simple jobs to engine rebuilds & a few "old hands" around too. I'm doing my ride hide balancing & clutch play plus minor issues, otherwise been driving the 456GT daily over here.
Thanks, great seeing you too, Doug. Hope your car battery is ok. The 355 is still very much with me, just undergoing a makeover right now. She should be back soon...
Google is strange, a search for the commonly used term "tight arses" gets a return "Two big dicks in a tight latina ass" Now I am more confused.
