I've got a 348 with Tubi's and I have by far got the loudest F-car in all of Dallas/Ft. Worth. I'd put money on that one! I'm cheating a little considering I have no cats. I'm running straight pipes. The sound is incredible. Fortunately I have multiple state residences so I don't have to fuss with inspections.
Whose car is that, that Tubi sounds amazing, sounds like straight pipes + Tubi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PlFU3DLzpw
Got precisely the same sound and mine are Tubi w/ straight pipes. Looking for someone to let me drive their car while following mine. I've heard it is sensational from behind.
Seems like the Capristo is the winner here. lets get some of you who wish to get 1 to sign-up for a group buy. I spoke to a USA Capristo dealer today and he has agreed to a discount on a multiple orders. He also recommended the level 3 for best sound and performance.
Crikey! They recommended level 3? Here's a level one Capristo video, which sounds enough http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ts50AXdWTcY I have heard a level 3 and its far to much IMO.
That is the clip which echoes through my dreams! Awesome sounding car!! Now I guess it back to the "do I get a Capristo" decision. Doh !
This clip is level 3 for sure, level 3 opens up only with the valve open that's what I was told by the dealer, he says that at idle or before the valve opens all levels of Capristo are the same.
I voted Capristo as well. I'm having an engine out right now and even though I am perfectly happy with the factory exhaust systems the Capristo has a better tone and idle and screams when you open it up. I'm sitting on the fence until I see the engine out in the morning.
I'd like to place an order soon, count me in. I'm not sold on level 3 though...I'm leaning towards a level 2. How many are needed for a group buy?
Just a somewhat off topic note... My car had a Cap 3 on it w/ Hyperflows and stock headers when I got it. Sounded CRAZY good, howl and all. After changing the headers to Fabspeed, the sound was still as loud, but not as high pitched, more bass to it which I don't like. Thinking of going with a Tubi header or maybe rebuilding my stock ones. Maybe it's the 4-1 design of the Fabs and the 4-2-1 design of the stock headers that is the difference in sound? Kinda remember someone saying Ferrari shaped the headers for speed AND sound.
I believe you are right, actually I think this is a guy I have spoken to, but I guess if you turn the sound up on your computer you can chose which level you wany lol
Is this your car? If it is, I wont argue. Straight pipes with high flow headers will get that sound with level 1 I guess.
You should check out the rest of the guys videos, they tell you what the specs of the system is. Capristo L1. Heres another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qtd2yxvVR0
If we get enough orders maybe Capristo will throw a party for us like they did in Germany for their customers. Take a look at the Ferrari 355 attendance at this party http://www.capristo-usa.com/capristo_002.htm
As far as I know the Capristo twin bypass 'race' exhaust is the only one that adds good RWHP though it loses the F1 sound .................. 20+ RWHP was the target when I designed my version of a twin bypass ............. while maintaining a full F1 sound ......... video clips will be available soon .......... The 'standard' capristo level 1 only made 7 RWHP when I had it on my car with hyperflow cats ...... the F1 sound on it was excellent!! My first 355 exhaust 'bypass delete' made 18 RWHP. Sound was posted earlier.
