    Hi fellers :)

Without sounding too horrifically obtuse (as I fear I often am when it comes to these things)...is it possible to paint the rear anti-roll(sway) bar on a 308? Mine has a bit of corrosion and would certainly look better if "spiffed up" a bit. As you well know, that rear bar shows quite well from the rear and I would like that particular view to be nicer :)

As always, any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

Scott p.s. If this is possible, what product(s) would you recommend?

Yep, remove it, sand or media blast, and then powder coat or paint.

I have had good results with VHT black epoxy paint.

    Good Luck!

you can also powder coat it or have it anodize

Thanks, fellers. Is there any "issue"/danger with the relatively close proximity of the sway bar to the muffler? Fire-wise, I mean?

No. The anti-roll bar is steel and won't catch fire.

Thanks, but I was actually referring to any paints or rust removers (or??) used on the anti-sway bar as far as catching fire is concerned ;-)

I know, Scott. All the suggestions given will not be affected by the heat generated by the muffler nearby. Even the paint on the valance near my exhaust tips hasn't shown any signs of bubbling or peeling.
